The ambiance was very good. The staff was excellent. But amenities was very poor. We were expecting more from all inclusive. On the other hand we enjoyed our stay. All restaurant were close range, which was very good. The buffet line was excellent.

I loved the beautiful beaches and great places to buy tasty food. The streets were lively at night so I didn't feel afraid venturing out at night. I loved flavours beach, the place was clean, they had a bar and restaurant which was convenient and also a area to shower for a small fee of $300 Jamaican dollars. I also, visited fantasy beach the vibe on the beach was nice however, the beach was very dirty rubbish all over the sand. I didn't like it.

Runaway Bay offers relaxation, excursions, beaches, friendly people, authentic dining at restaurants and party life (if you are interested in dancing). The rented apartment was lovely (it has a secured gated entry, it's quiet, very close to the beach (walking distance of 5-10 minutes), store, restaurants nearby. My driver, Raymond (Raymond's Golf & Taxi Services (876) 883-9595), he is extremely professional (knowledgeable of Jamaica's history, punctual, communicative, very clean vehicle, and drives safely!) I enjoyed my time at Milestones, Plantation Smokehouse, Ultimate, and Sharkies restaurants, oh, the food at Hearts Hotel was GREAT. If you've never been to Dunns River Falls and to Green Grotto cave be sure to go! If you are interested in renting the apartment contact Azul Lapis via Booking.com - the owners (Mr. & Mrs. Farquharson) are very nice & professional!

The restaurants I visited were The Plantation Smokehouse and Sharkie's. The customer service was awesome and the food was delicious at both places. I met a friend who lives in RB at the PS (2x) and ate alone at Sharkie's. At PS I had the Curry Shrimp one night and the stuffed Salmon on another. We finished off a bottle of rum with our delicious meal. At Sharkie's the mango daiquiri was delicious with my seafood platter. I was traveling solo, and I've been to Jamaica so much, I didn't do anything touristy(If that's a word). I went shopping in Ocho Rios and my experience at the L& M market for groceries was a good one. But on my next visit, I will check out Mistic Mountain. I can't believe I hadn't done that before.

I called and informed the hotel about our purpose of visit...

I called and informed the hotel about our purpose of visit which was celebration of my 40th birthday. We were told arrangements will be made for it. But, nothing at all was done. Even after reminding the reception forgot again. I am not recommending this hotel.

The breakfast options were very minimal for a normal Jamaican guest. I was really taken aback by the empty refrigerator that greeted me all plugged in an icy when I entered my vacation room of an all inclusive hotel. I did not know that I should have taken my own stock for place inside the already prepared refrigerator. The staff was friendly and most of them displayed good customer service skills. Waiter Mr. O. Riley was very pleasant, professional and was a great customer service representative.

The resort was small which made everything easily accessible. The grounds were well manicured, and they have extremely clean pools. Everything was CLEAN. For a solo traveler the room was a perfect size. I’d think it’d be comfortable for a couple as well. The beach is quite tranquil, if a bit mossy. Most importantly, the staff who I had reason to interact with were friendly and professional
