Lots of ceramic shops selling almost the same items. many good restaurants within walking distance. Arrive by train then take the accensore (elevator) down to the town - the lift-well is lined with blue tiles and fish. Gorgeous. The ferry stops down at the bay and bus 68 takes you up to the town for 1.4euro. Buy the ticket from the ladies in the ceramic shop near the bus stop before you board and validate on the bus.

I booked the Double Room with Sea View for good money but at...

I booked the Double Room with Sea View for good money but at no value. The room had a window with blinds that were broken and not possible to open, so instead of the sea view I've got the 4 walls closed space (perfect for Amalfi coast vacation!). Old smelly absolutely shaky furniture, cracks on the walls, dirty walls that haven't seen any paint since the building was finished I guess. Even the soap saucer in the bathroom was cracked. Announced breakfast is just stale croissants with jam and lowkey coffee. Worst experience ever, don't recommend anyone.

We were looking to have a relaxing holiday in a cosy, seaside town and Vietri certainly didn't disappoint! It's a beautiful place with lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help us out. We visited a few places like Amalfi and Positano which we felt were too busy and touristy, but Vietri wasn't like that at all, it feels genuine rather than commercialised. There's a lot of steps as others have mentioned, but I think this just adds to the character of the place and helps to burn off those big bowls of pasta. I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough and we hope to go back again in the future!

We think Vietri is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is like

A charming village full of character, famed for its beautiful pottery, we particularly enjoyed its charming little shops filled with colour and variety. The location was conveniently close to Molina, the small village where we stayed. On our first day, we dined at a local restaurant that was excellent, with a variety of fish and meat dishes at reasonable prices. I would recommend avoiding Naples on busy days, as it can be quite chaotic.

Theresa, Enzo and Antonia were wonderful! They met us upon arrival and explained everything in English. Our rooms were very clean and modern with exquisite views of the sea and town. The breakfast room was excellent, clean, comfortable with plenty of snacks and bottled water and juices. The location was perfect, close to town and we were able to access ferry boats to the rest of the towns on the Amalfi Coast and Capri right from the Vietri sul Mare port a short walk away. Restaurants, shopping and bars are abundant in Vietri and the people are very friendly and most speak English if your Italian isn't great. Access from Rome was easy via Tren-Italia. We are looking forward to return!!!

We loved everything about it. Beautiful building and rooms, incredible breakfast, outstanding owner and staff, best cappuccinos I’ve had, lovely views, close to the ferry to get around the coast, and close enough to walk into the center of Vietri sul Mare (though it’s a steep climb and lots of stairs!). Ilaria provided wonderful care, great advice on our plans, found us a private driver for getting around, and was, in every way, the perfect host. One of the best parts of our trip to Puglia and the Amalfi Coast.

Light, airy, beautifully finished room with a comfortable bed and a stunning view over the bay at Vietri Sul Mare. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant shower. Aircon worked well. Great breakfast, again with a wonderful view. Access to coffee machine and snacks throughout stay. Really friendly, helpful staff. Secure parking arranged at just 10 euro extra per night (parking can be tricky and expensive on the Amalfi coast). Wish we had been staying longer - we were there just one night before returning to UK from Salerno.

Very convenient for local salumeria shops , restaurants and the ferry to Amalfi coast . Outdoor balcony with table and two chairs was most welcome to enjoy early morning coffee or late afternoon drinks . Free mini bus connects upper & lower parts of Vietri sul mare . Alessio was very attentive to our needs & communicated quickly . California Beach club within a few metres of the apartment was a lovely place to relax on the beach and swim .

Gianna is excellent host and very helpful. The property is lovely and plenty of room for the three of us. The balcony has beautiful view of the mountains. We have a car so easy for us to get to different locations but a bit of walk to the beach and the Vietri Sul Mare town. There is a good supermarket nearby to get supplies.
