The owner already expected us when we arrived by bike after WhatsApp contact before. We could safely park our bikes in the court yard. The appartment is very clean and convenient, exactly like in the pictures. The owners are very nice and helpful, they even found a solution when we missed returning a key.

Very central, great view from the apartment. Owner was very accommodating. Clean and spacious, furnished with attention to detail. Very comfy bed. Breakfast was included, great coffee, delicious croissants from the patisserie next door. We were able to store our bikes in a safe location.

wonderful small city, BEAUTIFUL apartment located in the very centre of it, with the hotst so helpful that you can't even imagine: from waiting for us in the door (really!), through safe place for our bikes and the restaurant for an evening suggestion up to weather app forecasts help. The accomodation was is nice place, with plenty of parking lots in the yard. Rooms were simple but super clean and comfortable, shower gel and paper glasses provided. The best was the breakfast, basket with butter, jam, honey, biscuits, crackers on the table, croissants, bread, ham and cheese, eggs (four kinds), capuccino, espresso on request. Fruits, drinks in the self-service bar. Everything fresh and very tasty. The staff nice and funny. Check-in in the bar. They provide dinners on request between 19:30 and 20:30 (didn’t try). We will definitely come back.

Venzone was largely destroyed by an earthquake in the 1970s and subsequently rebuilt. While the town is certainly worth seeing, it's clear that it's not the original Venzone, even though efforts have been made to largely restore its former appearance. It boasts very good restaurants and cafes.

Venzone is a beautiful place. The historic part is small, but it offers many beautiful corners that are worth discovering. I recommend studying the history of the place. Then you will perceive Venzone differently than if you arrive "unprepared".

A very interesting historic little town in Friuli.

A very interesting historic little town in Friuli. Definitely worth a visit and can be a great place to stay after a day of wandering around other beautiful places in the region. It is just a short drive north on the motorway to Austria and further on on the way home from holiday in the South Seas.

Venzone illustrates the seriousness of the administrators...

Venzone illustrates the seriousness of the administrators who managed the aftermath of the 1976 earthquake. It was a town practically destroyed, and they rebuilt it stone by stone. Perhaps it's even more beautiful now than it was before. It's no coincidence that it's been listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy.
