Loved this place, have been travelling in Italy for 3 weeks and it’s been the best by far of any accommodation I’ve stayed at. Staff were extremely obliging and helpful. Items in bar fridge were all complimentary - this is unheard of!

Staff were friendly and very helpful. They stored our luggage whilst we waited to check in, recommended restaurants, gave directions and looked up bus/train schedules. Room was immaculate, breakfast superb and position great.

The breakfast was fresh, after the first day the breakfast staff brought the coffee without asking, exactly as we asked it on the first day. The hotel was cleaned daily, with extremely comfortable beds. In a central, yet quiet location, it was great to sleep and relax. The air conditioner also worked properly in the room. For our part, it's more of a 4-star hotel than a 3-star one. From Sassari, we were able to visit the main attractions, La Pelosa, Porto Torres, Asinara, Alghero, etc., the bus station was a 20-minute walk away. 24-hour concierge service with friendly and very helpful staff. This accommodation was an excellent choice for us, it represented the classic elegance.

Unfortunately, my ferry/bus arrived quite late and I had an early morning train; so, I wasn't able to spend much time in Sassari. However, the room was great - spotless and comfortable. It was very close to the train station (2 minutes walking). Communication was very good, making it easy to find and do check-in.

    Beautiful city, much cheaper to eat and drink out than in the coastal towns. Plenty to explore, shopping, historical buildings and churches. Excellent array of restaurants and bars. Hypermarkets on the outskirts for anything that you might need.

    Sassari is a bit of a hidden gem.

    Sassari is a bit of a hidden gem. I feel like most travelers probably go for Alghero or more touristy places along the coast, but are missing out on visiting Sassari. There are cafes and restaurants at every turn and the locals are out in force in the evenings. It makes for a lively and festive scene. Music is also important for the city and the summer is full of various music events and festivals, plus gastronomic events too! Take a little side trip and head over to Sassari for a day or two.

    Beautiful spotlessly clean inner city with amazing architecture steeped in history however you need to go right into Piazza d’Italia and immediate cobblestone streets to appreciate this as the surrounding areas are unkempt and graffiti laden, not the place for “modern street art” in my opinion, taking away from the beauty of the historical buildings.

    During our stay my partner and I didn’t take the time to explore the city of Sassari. But during the evenings we did enjoy going to a couple nice restraunts. We did enjoy using the public transportation to visit other cities but overall sassari is a very calm place to stay and very close to the north western part of the island.

    Not a real tourist town but with a nice old centre (small streets, high houses, colorful facades). When we visited it (late afternoon + early evening first week of May), it was extremely quiet - some squares seemed totally deserted - which created a weird atmosphere. Scene and streets got more livelier around Piazza d'Italia and University but not what you might expect from a city with >100.000 inhabitants. Conclusion: nice but not unmissable.

    Apartment is better than it looks on the photos, spacious, very well equipped, the host is caring and responsive. Sassari is not really an attractive city, but if you have a car, Albore Guest House is a perfect base to explore northern part of Sardinia. Please note that bathroom and bedroom are on the first floor, but for us it was not a problem at all. I highly recommend staying there :)

    beautiful room, very good location and nice building. Hoast very friendly and helpful, we were upgraded to the superior room with a nice balcony. Mini bar with great drink options. Wish we could stay longer, but we will definitely stay here again when back in Sassari.

    Nicely renovated place in the heart of Sassari. It consists of 7 rooms mini hotel situated on two floors. Nice staff. The paid parking space in Piazza Mazzotti is very crowded. Lucky to find a spot in the evening. But is the closest you can find.

    Great value for money for a room in this hotel. The parking lot that was offered for free was such an amazing asset. Room was very clean and modern with a lot of extra space. We enjoyed our one night stay there and we totally recommend it.
