Room very comfortable. We were on first floor with a balcony with nice views. Breakfast was nice out on patio. Convenient to eating houses, old harbour and Old Porticello. Train station 10 minute walk away. Went to Cefalu by train, bit over an hour depending on day and time. Building was tastefully renovated about 6 years ago

The photos from the offer dows not show how great the place turned out to be!!! Located in the small village, in the zone where locals sit outside, all doors open wide, smells with delicious food they are making, just beautiful. The car can be parked anywhere where is free apace just outside the apartment, mind that the streeta are very narrow but its ok for small car like Ford Fiesta. The aparment has ground floor entrace and by walking up narrow steps you enter the main bedroom with bathroom, when you go up there is fully equipped kitchen and the terrece overlooking all aroud. All so cozy, spacious, clean, smelling nicely, air conditioned, smart tv, close by walk to very nice restaurants and cute beach and Caletta Sant Elia which you must see. Samuele has thought of everinthing in the apartment so you will feel taken care of, including recommendations of attractions close by. We have been to Greek ruins of Solunto and you must go there too! We have been there only one night by we wish to come back!

We were actually in Porticello but it all comes under the...

We were actually in Porticello but it all comes under the Santa Flavia commune. There was a harbour with restaurants and a little beach. The railway station was very useful for getting to Palermo in one direction and Cefalu in the other. You couldn't really spend a whole week in Santa Flavia without going to other places. (It wouldn't have been the same holiday without the train connections.) It was a local community we were living in which was nice because people said Hello and the shops were friendly. Someone gave us a lift to the station on our last day. We got a couple of kisses from shopkeepers when we told them we were leaving. The main gripe is the litter but even the capital Palermo was litter ridden. There was a lot of dog barking and the occasional young driver with music absolutely blasting out of open car windows. But those are cultural things you just have to get used to. Worth going up to Solunto if interested in archaeology etc. Massive site, costs 6 euros to get in and it's extremely hot with no shade. We went to Cefalu in May on a Monday and it was busy. Wonderful and good swimming but will be totally overrun I imagine any later. We also went to the island of Ustica for the day and hired electric bikes. Good fun and beautiful landscape but again later in season will be packed.

We loved the area, particularly Porticello. Very nice for an evening stroll. Lot of restaurants, better to book as we were unable to get into a few as there was a festival on for their Saint from 5-12 Oct approx, so traffic was crazy and super busy, but entertaining to watch. We had 7 meals out, all were lovely, ranging from 22 euros, to 80 euros without alcohol. Highly recommended are the mussels at Antica Solunto dal 1958 - up a steep hill but okay with a car - stunning view right over the coast. A little place called Al Panfilo in Porticello - had pasta and swordfish - 22 euro - cheapest meal we had and to be honest, the most delicious.

We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace, having some wine and Aperol Spritz! The kids played on the beach and, despite the colder weather, in the water. The sunsets and sunrises, when not obstructed by cloudy weather, we gorgeous. We enjoyed driving to different places to see more of the island. We loved Cefalù -- what I expected to see from an Italian village. Palermo was nice, but driving is not for the faint of heart. We also made a long trip to Valley of the Temples.

lovely little town but a bit grubby in places & quite noisy near to the port where our accommodation was. Within walking distance of the station which is how we arrived. We were reccommended a great little take away pizzeria by the host which the locals use & it was a couple of minutes walk away.

Santa Flavia is very good for those who want to escape from...

Santa Flavia is very good for those who want to escape from busy tourist attractions and sites, resorts. It was a good chance to experience how locals live their lives in Sicily. There were no turists here. You can get to the capital by train easily. Unfortunatelly streets are dirty and there is a big contrast between their garbage recycling laws in the properties and the dirt in the street , at the sea.

The host was really helpful-provided tips on local sites both around and in Palermo, was very flexible and patient with us, also gave us great restaurant recommendations. Gave us all the needed information and was available when we needed help. The property is only 3-4min walk from the Station (very accessible) with about 35min train ride to Palermo center. Quite clean and very homey. Loved taking walks in the neighborhood, lovely views and great places to unwind (have an appero) close to the pier (15min walk from property) and awesome food

We had the apartment on the top floor, the views were amazing, we had lots of space, great option to cook and sit on the balcony. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Perfect location for the special beaches of Saint Elia, but also of supermarket, beach bars, atm and pharmacy. We didn’t have a car so decent to get the train to Santa flavia and walk 20 minutes. Breakfast good selection too. The bed was very comfy and perfect air conditioning.

The apartments are extremely clean, spacious and comfortable, as well as placed within walking distance to two small supermarkets and a pizzeria. Giuseppe, who gave us a very warm welcome, was very helpful both in orienting us regarding what is there to visit and where to eat around Santa Flavia and in Palermo, as well as with any other requests we had during our stay.

This property is paradise in Sicily! Spacious rooms, and a terrasse where you can take your breakfast or diner outside, beautiful garden and a huge swimming pool. Only 15 mins from Palermo by train, and nice restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!
