The room was spacious with everything you could possibly need. I like the wooden floor too for cleanliness. The location is great - 5 mins walk to the forum with a supermarket across the road. The rooftop restaurant is stunning and nice that it's open all year round. The reception is perfect with tea and coffee and snacks available for guests all day. The food in the restaurant was excellent and all the staff are attentive, kind and very professional.

The hotel is very stylish, it is a small hotel with few rooms on each floor. After staying view days you can feel like being at home. From the beginning you feel very safe and looked after. Everything was perfect including breakfast (big choice and all very tasty). The hotel is spotless so clean and fresh. What I like the most is the location - you are near everyting including the best shops and restaurants also the most fancy ones. At the same time as the hotel is located in the quiet street you can really rest and relax or come back to the hotel for a rest during a day. It was a good choice :-)

Rome is extremely safe nowadays, armed guards and soldiers...

Rome is extremely safe nowadays, armed guards and soldiers everywhere, especially at Termini and all the big sights like Colosseum which is very reassuring for peace of mind. Rome is a magical, exciting city but has charm like no where else. The food is very reasonable and delicious, most sights are either free or low charge, so much to see and wear comfy shoes as the cobble stones are tough going. It rained when we went in November but we were prepared. The people are so friendly and caring. I loved Rome so much and will be back.

Rome is wonderful and full of things to do with the crowds around the monuments becoming larger and larger. The pickpockets seem to be getting more numerous. On 3 occasions in Termini Train Station, we observed pickpocket activity where the engaged pickpockets and were detected. All three occasions were groups of women (or dressed as women). Be careful as doors are closing on trains and when you're departing from the Metro - up the steps, ramps and in the elevators. Good luck! Keep you're valuables safe and out of harms way.

Amazing city - there is something to see at every corner!

Amazing city - there is something to see at every corner! 3 days were not enough to see everything. We stayed in central Rome (Via della Scrofa) and it was a very practical area. Walking distance to most of the important landmarks. Very clean and very safe - far from the graffitti-full areas. Metro is around 10 mins walk away if you need it. As some tips - the Vatican trip was frustrating with the long queue lines. We bought the tickets online - but still had to queue for 2 hours, which ruined our plans for the day. Be prepared for it if you intend to visit inside. The Vatican needs a day in itself to tour well. The Christmas fair at Villa Borghese was a fair not a traditional Christmas market as we know it, which was a bit of a disappointment. Giftland was much more worth visiting. Food was divine as usual - delicious (to say the least) and affordable. You have to love Italian food!

Too many tourist traps, throughout the city, hard to get normal food anywhere, especially for breakfast. Portions in majority of restaurants are too small. Colosseum and Vatican are must visits, we visited a dozen other places too and overextended our stay a bit (10 days). Most of the other places were not worth the entry ticket price and 5 days is more than enough. Public transportation around the city does not work, buses are useless since they are not any faster than walking due to them taking longer routes and there is always a lot of traffic. Metro is good but very limited options available. Stations are far and few in between.

I like Rome and there are plenty of tourist attractions to check out like Vatican , Trevi Fountain & Colosseum. One thing I didn't like was the constant harrassment of people trying to flog me a cheap portable charger. most look like they were doing this as a livinng to survive.

Rome is indeed the eternal city. It captivates.

Rome is indeed the eternal city. It captivates. Since we did a religious trip (pilgrimage), we walked a lot. We engaged with the locals and really had a close up view of Rome including local spots. I appreciated Italian culture not just its food but how its history is still relevant today. I think no matter how long you stay, it is captivating. Food is great. Find were the locals go. We stayed in the PRATI neighborhood and there were myriad of choices. Most of all, the neighborhood is very close to St. Peter's so absolutely the ideal place to be if the Vatican is your aim as you could just walk. Walk all over Rome, more than the guided tours, walking throughout Rome makes you part of the city. As a tip, the buses only allow you to use your card once, so each person if you're in a group must pay with different cards unless you buy the pass ahead of time (it's the best thing to do). For some reason, most of the taxis we used wanted to be paid in cash. Also, the taxi's have a cue line, you truly can't hail for a cab. UBER is not as popular. They used another app for ride share so don't be surprised if your UBER driver would keep on cancelling. I appreciate how they display a flag of their nation of origin to help welcome people from other countries. This is so thoughtful as this would easily identify restaurants for example serving non-Italian fare. Shopping is the best. Street market takes cash. Beware of pick pockets and avoid alley ways especially when it gets dark. Do not go into alley ways that have less people in it. Beggars could mug you out of nowhere. If you come prepared (fanny pack, button jacket to hide your bags), you can escape from these bad forces. Do not let the bad elements scare you. Common sense goes a long way and be alert. You will enjoy this beautiful city with no problem.

Residenza Maritti is a marvelous hotel. I have stayed here perhaps 20 times in the last 7 years or so, whilst living in Italy. It is quite simply one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at. The location is nothing short of spectacular; the staff and owners very kind and helpful; the rooms full of character and history as well as being spotlessly clean; the rooftop terrace has breathtaking views of ancient Rome. When I come to Rome, I always stay at Residenza Maritti. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the Eternal City from.

It was the best hotel we stayed in throughout Italy. Hotel Everest Inn - Rome was the best compared to our hotels in Milan, Florence and Naples. The room was a great size for 2 people, bright and clean including the bathroom. The staff at reception, including Ivan were very helpful and friendly and also allowed us to freshen up after we checked out and had to come back for our luggage. We also had free coffee and croissants in the morning. We definately would book this hotel again.

The very best breakfast i have had in Italy, over the past 7 years of travelling around Italy. The hotel is a very well kept building and has a modern feel to it. The staff are all very helpful and especially the bar tender, who also oversees the dining area - Thank you. The location is not in the center of Rome and its a short bus ride to the nearest Metro station - but the busses & Metro are frequent and easy to use.

The service was excellent; actually Next level. Not just the hotel welcome & what it had to offer, but assistance with our next venture in Italy. It really helps sell Rome (even when 38 degrees🥵)when you have staff like this at Viminale. If we ever go back to Rome, it’ll be staying here purely for the service we received.
