Rome is a magnificent city, one of those places you absolutely must see while you’re alive. Every architectural masterpiece tells a story, each stone whispering of centuries past. Yet even if you were to visit none of its grand monuments, just wandering through Rome’s narrow, sun-washed streets would be an experience you’d never forget. The places that left the deepest impression on me were Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum. Getting around Rome is incredibly easy using the metro or the bus. Rome is full of charming little cafés, you’ll probably have a hard time choosing just one. Make sure to walk a lot - both at dawn and in the evening. Eat as much gelato as you can, buy souvenirs to remember your trip, laugh often, talk to the locals, and I promise, your journey will be truly unforgettable.

I’ve noticed that some of the younger staff at the Metro Train service tend to be less accommodating. When we sought assistance after accidentally leaving our luggage on the train, we were repeatedly told, “It’s not part of our job.” We had to persist and ask multiple times before someone finally helped us connect with the lost and found department. On a more positive note, I truly appreciated the availability of a clinic for tourists—it was a great relief to receive medical attention, and the staff there were genuinely kind and helpful. Inside the Basilica, everything was impressively well-organized, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere for visitors.

I would consider Rome a safe place to visit, generally, but like all other places it has its dark side. Sadly, for the first time ever in all my years of travelling around the world I was a victim of crime during this trip on the way back to the airport when my wallet was lifted from my pocket whilst getting on a busy metro train. With the incident still fresh in my mind it's hard to think of Rome in the same way as I did before. My advise? Don't take any more cards with you than you need to and keep cash to a minimum - or at least the maximum you can afford to lose!

Even our visit was late int the season (End of October)!. It was scary the number of visitors that were there. The buses and metro were always packed and come Rush hour it was chaotic. One good point about the transport is the 7 daycard, can save you a lot money, it's good for buses and metro but while we were there the trams were not running. If you plan ahead you will find many places to visit are only a short walk between sites. As far as eating, there are plenty of pizza places and bars, but also better restaurants

Rome is a city to be discovered on foot full of impressive Roman ruins, majestic buildings, cobbled streets and plazas and a wonderful variety of restaurants and bars. Clearly, a place to spend in good company and worth planning to use your two or three days wisely. An off-the-beaten-track tour is worthwhile and you have an opportunity of discovering hidden gems in this beautiful city. As with major cities, Rome offers enough for everyone and its warm and friendly people, make it a memorable short city break!

Piccola Navona was our best stay in Italy. Impressively clean and the staff were amazing, it’s location a plus. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in the past, many of them not too accommodating. Alberto, Juliet, and the rest of the staff at Piccola Navona has been an absolute star, from arranging our transportation from the airport, to ensuring we had the correct mattress and pillows for our comfort, and having our room cleaned with fresh towels daily. We will definitely stay here again at our next trip to Rome.

This was the most perfect hotel for my last night in Rome before Italy. The location was fantastic, the staff were amazing and so helpful, the room was gorgeous and I loved having a balcony and the rooftop terrace was heaven and exactly what I pictured for my last night in Roma. I’m so happy I stayed here and the breakfast looked amazing but I just settled for coffee and juice as had to get on a bus. I would absolutely stay here again as I will be back to see Roma as I’m in love with this city!

The very best breakfast i have had in Italy, over the past 7 years of travelling around Italy. The hotel is a very well kept building and has a modern feel to it. The staff are all very helpful and especially the bar tender, who also oversees the dining area - Thank you. The location is not in the center of Rome and its a short bus ride to the nearest Metro station - but the busses & Metro are frequent and easy to use.

Now I understand why all the reviews are 10 out of 10. Amir treated us like family. After staying at several 4 and 5-star hotels in Italy, we can honestly say we received the best service and experience at this charming boutique style residence compared to anywhere else. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully well designed, spotless, and extremely clean.
