The hotel's location, the staff's attitude, and their helpfulness were all excellent. Everything was even better than we imagined. The cleanliness of the rooms, the prompt fulfillment of our requests, the recommendations for places to visit in Rome, and they even organized a free tour on the day we visited—but we couldn't join because we had already made other plans. Overall, it was an experience that surpassed our expectations.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable — everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect, close to key attractions but still peaceful and quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the restaurant/bar had a great atmosphere. I also loved the little touches — from the cozy lobby to the attention to detail in the service. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, style, and great service. I will definitely be coming back!

We had an amazing one-week stay at this hotel in Rome. The location is perfect—centrally situated with easy walking access to major attractions like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. My partner and I were able to explore most of the city on foot, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless and pleasantly cool, which was a huge plus given the warm weather during our visit. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the daily complimentary fruits and bottled water. Overall, a fantastic stay that really enhanced our Roman holiday.

Make sure you come armed with patience and plenty of time — the tourist attractions are crowded or very crowded. Avoid eating right next to the major sights, and be cautious with the guys selling roses or bracelets. They are easy to spot, and I already knew their tactics, so I avoided them successfully every time. But if you don’t firmly say no, they may put a bracelet on your wrist and won’t leave until you pay. So be careful.

We all know the obvious places which are often very busy but some of the most beautiful places are smaller, less busy and more memorable: San Prassede and San Clemente with beautiful mosaics and pavements, San Pietro in Vincoli with Michelangelo's Moses and, of course, the Caravaggio's in San Luigi di Francese.

I didn't think Rome would beat Paris as my favourite European city to date, but there is a fabulous view at every turn, be it a cute cobbled street lined with twinkly lights and trattorias, a breath taking ruin, statue or building and it was clean, much cleaner than Paris. Oh and the weather, 21 degrees in November? Yes please!

Plan the trip during working days (avoid Friday-Monday) due to enormous weekend crowds. November to February are good months, less crowded. Public transportation is great, you can pay with card or Apple Wallet directly in the bus/tram/metro, which is great. For me the best area for eating and spending evenings is Trastevere. It is crowded with young people, it is always live and you will not see any tramps or feel unsafe walking at late hours. Eating in any of these restaurants cannot be a mistake. I recommend Nannarella and Da Ottelo, great home-made pasta and delicious sweets (Panakota and Tiramisu). Vatican area is also very nice for a walk. Do buy the tickets for the Vatican museum on-line and skip the line (it is very easy), since waiting for at least 4 hours is not something nice.

Because our time was limited and we'd never visited Rome...

Because our time was limited and we'd never visited Rome before, we chose "skip the line" guided tours for Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill, for Vatican Museum/Sistene Chapel/St. Peters, and for Pantheon. We found the first two through reviews on TripAdvisor. All three tour guides were well-experienced and brought history to life for us - good context, good stories, good pictures to illustrate the past. Although mid-November, it was still quite busy/quite crowded - not sure if this was because it's a Jubilee year or because there is a tremendous draw for tourists in general. We were unable to get tickets to the Borghese Gallery and did not do any side-trips to Pompeii or other places outside of Rome, but would like to return someday. Rome is unlike any of the other European cities we've visited, and definitely worth seeing.

Rome was very crowded due to the 25th Jubilee.

Rome was very crowded due to the 25th Jubilee. Getting around town was a challenge, although we typically do a Hop on Hop off (HOHO :-)) first to decide where we want to go. We ended up going with the Pink HOHO line. Although it was Oct (2025) it was very warm during the day so layering is a must. Watch out for the folks on the street trying to sell bus rides, etc. They are everywhere & extremely aggressive. Also, with massive crowds beware of the pickpockets! Food is always wonderful off the beaten track, check out the alleys & stay away from the tourist traps on the main streets. Lots of these restaurants are not run by Italians! We really enjoyed a restaurant named Hedera.
