Absolutely fantastic location in a charming village, calm by day and a bit more vibrant by night. Communication was excellent with host. Very spacious, well organized, fully equipped apartment. And a lovely Little rooftop terrace (unexpected surprise). Every morning I made my breakfast and on settled on the port to enjoy the early morning vibe. (1min walk). Area is perfect : tennis/ padel/ beach/ tour booths/ port/ beach bar all less than 3 mins walk.

Porto San Paolo is a jumping point for Tavolara island. We visited in low season (end of May) so the town was still sleepy and some business were still closed, but i am sure in the high season it becomes more lively.

Small but lively little town, with shops, markets, bars and restaurants. Nice couple of small beaches and small harbour with plenty of nautical activities available. Porto San Paolo is very well located from Olbia, which is a bigger town with plenty of activities, shops, etc as well as the airport. There is really good public transport that allows you to reach a good number of paradisiac beaches in a relative short time.

Porto San Paulo is one of the precious places we ever visited. If you are looking for peaceful place to take rest , body and soul , you found it exactly between the most popular places which are very crowded and fancy .It’s very close to the most beautiful wild beaches. Real Smaragds of Costa Esmeralda . People are polite and helpful. Especially if you had host as we had in our Villa signore Marco Manera 💪

The village is split between the main road area and the port...

The village is split between the main road area and the port. The port has ferries to Tavolara which is highly recommended. Shops and restaurants with one main supermarket on the road towards the port. Beaches are small and pebble/sand mix. Better beaches elsewhere. Expensive restaurants. We liked the takeaway pizza best. You can walk everywhere quite easily. Our main problem was restaurants not available at childrens dinner time but this is typical for Italy.

Despite arriving at 2am we was greeted with the keys and shown around the apartment. We had a 2 bedroom for 2 people which was a good size for us but also would be good for a family. The apartment is close to really nice beaches and a few nice restaurants. Communication was great with plenty of recommendations. The area was relatively quiet, I would recommend having a car to explore the island!

Everything was amazing! We would absolutely recommend Hotel Don Diego. What a beautiful location, great facilities and staff. Everyone was super helpful and made our stay memorable. The room was fantastic with a view over looking the sea. Breakfast was great with many options no matter the dietary need. It was a 5 star experience. Thanks a lot!

The host, Maria, was so caring and kind. She treated us like family and was always around. The villa is so cosy and the view from the balcony is incredible. It’s located close to a few beautiful beaches. We loved our stay and when we come back to Sardegna, we will definitely stay with Maria again.
