The scent of lemon coming from the incredible garden, the restaurant with DELICIOUS dishes prepared with the utmost care, the extremely friendly and polite staff, the Wi-Fi signal, the comfort of the bed, the temperature, the shower, the careful lighting, the spectacular and comfortable bed linen, in every little detail EVERYTHING was WONDERFUL!!! I intend to return to Pompeii because of the experience I had at the hotel. I traveled with my 12-year-old son.

The archaeological site is vast, keep track of the block numbers and you can easily dodge any large tour groups you come across and circle back to the interesting buildings. Paying the extra few quid for a full ticket and walking up to the villa de mysteries is well worth it. Ignore the touts that tell you you're going the wrong way, but don't tell them to go away or they'll gang up on you, they're scum.

Spent 2 days , could have used a 3rd but amazed at what has been unearthed since my last visit. The queue to get audio unit is the same for tickets, which if you have an online ticket is annoying as the queue was long. Once inside you need to watch your step as the flagstone are uneven, but keep your eyes open, a lot of stuff is above eye level.

Been on my bucket list since studying Classical Studies at school. It did not disappoint. Steeped in history and you get a real feel for the terror those people experienced when Vesuvius erupted. I climbed to the crater so peaceful now hard to believe it caused such destruction. Seeing the House of the Faun made my day at Pompeii. Herculaneum was as impressive but smaller and easy to navigate. Pompeii is huge and it was hot with no shade this makes getting around in the crowds a little more challenging.

Since childhood, I was fascinated with Pompei. The ruins would take a couple of days to completely absorb as the ruins are much larger than imagined from photos. The vistas were incredible. Every facet of the exploration brought new life to what was once a truly vibrant city.

I visited Pompeii in early October and whilst busy, I was reliably informed that it’s quiet compared to peak summer months. Definitely worth visiting and I’d recommend a guide if you can. So much to see and you should allow a good 3hrs+ to see the whole site. There’s a lot of walking to do and if you’re unsteady on your feet, that will limit some of the things you can see at the site. I’d also strongly recommend you take water with you. It’s hot work even in October. I also visited Herculaneum, which is much smaller but is in many ways, a better preserved site. You’ll see the second floor on many buildings. That said, you get a real feel for how big Pompeii was back in the day. Which is better? Pompeii for me based upon the sheer scale, variety of buildings and the wonder you get of how well developed the Romans were back in 79AD. I’d also say that the surroundings outside of the UNESCO World Heritage site are a whole lot better than Herculaneum.

Lovely town with great resturants and the Archaeological site of Pompeii , plus 3 train stations which allowed travel to Herculaneum, Sorrento, Naples and Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. A great central location. We used the beaches at Vico Esquerence as they were a lot cleaner that those at Castlemmare Di Stabi, but we did food shopping at Lidl there and the shopping Center in Pompeii was a treat.

Dario was an excellent host - he provided all the info necessary to make our stay perfect. We appreciated the room and its equipment (everything functional and clean), covered parking place for our scooter, fresh pastries (and good coffee) for our breakfasts, and many more! We definitely recommend this place as it have been our best accomodation we ever stay in Italy. We also liked the roof terrace with magnificent views and proximity (4-5 minutes on scooter) to the center of Pompei.

Everything! Exceptionally clean, had everything you could possibly need for a stay! A short 10 minute walk from train station, 5 minute walk from bus stop, 10/15 minute walk from Pompeii ruins. Perfect to stop in for a night and rest but great location to go out and explore. Washing and drying facilities super handy when travelling around Italy for 2 weeks! Thank you ☺️ Would definitely recommend

This was the best accomodation that we stayed in the whole of Italy.!The rooms are clean, very tasteful decorations comfortable and spacious. The best shower we ever had in Italy. The best tho was the host was the real stand out! From organising our transfers, collecting us by taxi when we were lost. Or locked ourselves out of the accommodation, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable. A great location for the ruins. The shower had good pressure, but no hot water, tepid at best. Ok in the current Italy heatwave, but would suck otherwise. The second person in the shower would have to mind the water depth, drainage was poor. And this would have to be the only place in Italy without a corkscrew. No restaurant or bar.
