The hotel is located in an excellent location, 5 minutes from the center. Parking is possible on the street in the extension and is free of charge. There is an elevator, and the room and bathroom are spacious, only the insulation is worse. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a bistro on the ground floor. The room we got (No 2) is huge, light and airy, being newly renovated with its own independent keycode entry from the side of the building which has a river running parallel to it. The style is a perfect blend of rustic and modern with a beautiful big fireplace. The recessed lighting in it gives the room a really nice atmosphere. The king size bed and walk in shower are both fabulous, and the room is equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine, cups and although breakfast is not provided at this B&B, bottled water, tea bags, coffee pods, a lovely individually wrapped cake from the owner's son's bakery, toasts, jams & nuttela are thoughtfully provided for each morning on the eve during Antonietta the cleaner's visit. Whatever has been used is replenished. Communication with Marisa the owner is very effective and easy and we loved chatting with her. She told us the room was previously part of a restaurant and about turning it into an additional room for the B&B. Parking is available both in front of the property and nearby for free. The cute historic town centre is only a couple of minutes walk away. We would happily stay at La Dogana again!
