Fantastic location as we came by train; literally just across the road from the station. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Our room was perfect; clean, inviting and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of things to eat. We can't think of a single negative. Thank you Hotel Sole.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Andrea went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay very pleasant. every attentive and it is obvious that he pays attention to the details. our apartment was equipped with toiletries, extra towels and free fruits/drinks/coffees/sweets. one of the best places to stay if one’s visiting Florence.

So beautiful, homey, comfortable and grand. The villa is so lovely! The trees, the landscape, the pool was exquisite and the front desk was very helpful. Our room was private, comfortable, had everything we needed and was extremely close to the wedding venue to which we were attending. I would love to return to this stay again.

We used Empoli as a base as the train station offered many possibilities as a central hub. We did however really enjoy a lovely walk in the scenic hills. The center was clean and had a really nice vibe to it and the locals were very friendly. We were also told by a historian that the city had a good museum of art although we didn't have time to investigate further unfortunately due to time.

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable.

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable. The surroundings had lovely scenery and the nearby town was vibrant. Public transportation was quite a challenge and getting a taxi was not much easier. You can get most places by walking but if you have mobility issues you will struggle. I would definitely stay again though, very nice place! 😁

A gorgeous authentic Italian town just outside Florence with great train routes to Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. It's the perfect location if you're planning to have a Tuscan base to explore the area but don't want to pay Florence prices. The locals are all friendly and look out for everyone.

Empoli is very quiet.

Empoli is very quiet. My advice is to stay near the station to make the most of public transportation and visit nearby cities like Florence, Pisa, Prato, etc.

Empoli has only one noteworthy square worth visiting, and a small but well-kept park where you can relax. Above all, it's a strategically located town, making it a great base for visiting multiple cities (Florence, Pisa, Livorno, San Gimignano, etc.) on the same vacation.

Having gone to Empoli for the exhibition on Masolino da...

Having gone to Empoli for the exhibition on Masolino da Panicale, we realised that we had ended up in a place not only close to Florence but in a town where culture is at home, therefore with its own peculiarity and autonomy compared to its "big brother" Florence, reachable in half an hour by train.

We used the apartment as base for Firenze and Pisa. It is 30 min from the train station ( walking distance ) . Shops are in the city center 20 mins away. The kitchen is equipped with basics. You park the car just across the street on the riverbank. The host responds quick on Whatsapp/ booking.com and a problem was solved reasonable quick. The street in front has a lot of traffic during daytime but in nighttime it is calm. To Firenze and Pisa/ Livorno are frequent trains ( ca. every 20 min, 10/12 € return ticket) .

The apartment was clean and had everything you could need. Maddelena was our host was beyond helpful and welcoming meeting us at the property on our arrival to Empoli. We had a family wedding outside Empoli and Maddelena was able to help us with providing a taxi company number. The appartment was very central and easy to access all areas of Empoli with a short walk, the train station is very close by also. Would recommend this stay and would also happily return and stay again.

The location is ideal as it is not far from Empoli train station and also not far from the town centre. The room is basic but it perfect for a short stay. It's quite easy to get in with the instructions that Eleanora provides. There is air conditioning for when it gets hot and a television. The bathroom was spacious and clean towels provided.
