Very nice room and a comfortable bed. Well situated in the city to explore. Host met us in person and was very friendly. They prepared a breakfast for the morning which we didn't expect but was lovely. We stayed for one night and found it was a very good space, place and price for the visit.

Sleeping in an old monastery was a great experience! Germana, the owner was very kind, the communication was quick and easy. She told the story of the monastery and her family, and we loved listening to it! The rooms were clear, beautiful and traditional furnished and well equipped. We could not have asked for a better stay, we were blown away! Paolo and his team looked after us so well. The location is beautiful, car is essential. The pool area is new, clean, well equipped and of course, stunning. The rooms were so cleaned (and cleaned daily). Breakfast was delicious! Every morning was fresh bread, cheese, meats, freshly baked cakes and fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm (the eggs were the highlight of the breakfast!). On our last day, we were leaving for the airport at 05:30 so would miss the breakfast, however our doorbell rang at 21:30 the night before when we got in from dinner, and they had prepared us a tray for breakfast the next morning so we didn’t miss out. They even gave us coffee in a flask! We were so impressed by the service. We also ate dinner at the farm one night, which was a delicious 10 course of small plates, all foods from the surrounding area. We have already talked about how we will come back in the future- such a relaxing, tranquil and beautiful place to stay. Thank you!!!

The location is absolutely central, including a bar and the cathedral and it bells in direct neighborhood. Ask for a room to the backsite if you do not love that.. The beeakfast was absolutely outstanding, made with love! Lots of Restaurants nearby. We decided for a Pizzeria with wood oven. Top!

A very nice historical town! You can just hang out by the bridge, watch the river and mountains or you can explore the small streets on your own. There are many nice places to have a glass of wine or to buy some local pastries. You may also see that the center is full of locals who like to go out and the atmosphere in Cividale is really friendly!

A beautiful town with a wonderful atmosphere, in an excellent location close to both the sea and the mountains. Free parking near the center, several shops with local food, and a few caffeterias and gelaterias. An ideal place for a vacation.

We stopped here on our way from Postjona, Slovenia back to Venice to catch our flight home. We found Cividale del Friuli charming and very historical. It was an interesting place and we got a lot out of our less then 24 hours there. There are some great restaurants and museums. We went to the Archeological museum and it was very interesting. There are views of mountains around. We had a rental car with Navigation so that helped us get around. If you are there on a Sunday night restaurant options will be limited

A calm delightful town.

A calm delightful town. It deserves to be better known in the area. The atmosphere was very relaxing to walk around. On Mondays most shops are closed. We experienced the lively café culture on Tuesday morning. Loads of cyclists passing through. The monastery is exceptionally interesting. We bought food in the supermarket and cooked for ourselves. Would be happy to visit again.

It has a small-town feel, with a pleasant old-town feel. It is also highly recommended for hikers due to its proximity to the Alps. I can recommend the restaurant Ristorante Pizzeria al Cervo D'Oro - and not just for the traditional Italian food

Cividale is a truly charming little town with wonderful...

Cividale is a truly charming little town with wonderful medieval streets,buildings,squares and museums. It's a quiet, historic town and ideal as a base to discover the Friuli region. Udine is just a short ride away, the Slovenian border only a few kms away. If you are a wine enthusiast like myself you have small wine bars around the town serving the delicious local Friulian wines and there are many vineyards just a short drive away. There is a good choice of restaurants serving the local cuisine. Definitely a place to revisit.

Everything was perfect from the first moment. We booked the hotel for New Year (weekend). Hotel (Mrs. Barbara) helped us with booking for New Year's Eve dinner in a local restaurant. The wellness area is very cozy and relaxing. The staff couldn't be better. The location and the view are incredible. Warm recommendation. Don't think twice - book now!

The location in a medieval monastery was amazing!!. Our host was so friendly and happy to answer all my many questions about the history of the building and old church currently being restored. We had the use of bicycles to go to Cividale del Friuli. The room was modern and very comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast.

we only stayed for a night. Check in was uncomplicated, we received some good informations (parking/restaurant), room was renovated and in good condition, next Morning they served an excellent breakfast. A nice stay in Cividale del Friuli!
