Piccolo Hotel San Valentino is set on top of a hill in the middle of the fairytale Val d'Orcia. Among cypress trees, olive groves and crete senesi. The Abbey of San Oliveto Maggiore is about a kilometre away. The hotel has a restaurant, but it closes in the evening, so it's completely quiet at night - the nearest village is several kilometres away. For breakfast we got everything we wanted: there was sheep's cheese, all sorts of spreads, yoghurts, prosciutto if you wanted it and several types of pastries. The room was not large but comfortable, the wi-fi worked, there are mosquito nets on the windows - although there are not many around the hotel, and the room is air-conditioned. We were able to visit a classical music festival in nearby Asciano. And of course all the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help.

We loved the house and the host was excellent. He met us at the scheduled time and recommended a restaurant that could not have been more perfect. He even helped us with the reservation. The house is right in the center, on the Via Francigena. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Two large bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen.

Beautiful apartment in the historical building in the very heart of the charming old village. It isn't just regular airbnb, it was definitely designed with love and style. Amazing stay in the country side. Felt just like home. The host is a very sweet Italian lady. Rooms were perfect and the stay was best place to spend your night in middle of Tuscany hills. She also cooks great food for you which was so homely! Worth all the money!
