This is a place I would advice to visit. Every time I find something new here, enjoying summer evenings and salt water smell... Fishing boats and sound of the waves... Markets on Thursdays and evening concerts in July at Musica in laguna festival.

Chioggia is a gem in the northeast of Italy. if you want to visit Venice, better to lodge in Chioggia, save some money and travel to Venice either by bus or by ferry. beautiful and scenographic ride from Chioggia to Venice. Beach if fabulous for kids thanks to chemical properties of the sand (iodine good for lungs and respiration)

Lovely old town, lively but not overun.

Lovely old town, lively but not overun. Countless bars and restaurants with pavement tables - some of the latter very good indeed, especially if you are a fish-lover. The pace is relaxed and the atmosphere welcoming. A real town lived in by real people- who come out in force for the huge Thursday street. We loved Chioggia - a real find. We'll be back!

The accommodation has a very strategic location, close to everything. That's the most important thing for me. Otherwise, the accommodation consists of one room divided in half into a sleeping area and a kitchenette with a table. The bathroom is fully adequate, just in the shower was very difficult to manage betweenhot and cold water. A big plus is the host, who explains exactly where everything is and also sent links to everything you need. Very helpful and professional.

Lovely quiet apartment in a nice location beside a little canal. We appreciated our host Fabio collecting us from the bus stop and brought us to the apartment. He was very helpful. We really enjoyed a boat trip into Venice along the Lagoon from Sottormarina which is a short walk from Chioggia over the bridge to the last pier. You have to buy the tickets in Sottormarina.
