The terrace was so nice! Amazing views. We had a table and two chairs plus two sun beds (plus a very useful hanger for the wet clothes). Staff was super nice. Room was big enough and the bed was big and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

A very quite town, and with a car it is close to a very nice beach. Great for snorkling. The view from the balcony in the common area was fantastic. The near by pizzeria/bar Sant'Antonio serves Puglias best pizza. I will never forget this bar, and it's very authentic staff and customers.

This is a wonderful place to stay and explore the Salento region. Right in Castro, this is a home from home. Reminds you of Italy all your life. Immaculately kept, clean splendid building with enormous rooms. BEAUTIFUL garden space..airy and so sweet scenting. This can cater from 2 to 6 or seven people. Great kitchen and appliances. I honestly recommend it to any global traveller who wishes to explore the Salento.

Itaca is perfectly positioned, quiet and well equipped. It has a lovely outdoor terrace. A five minute walk down some steps takes you to the marina and the sea. It’s a ten minute walk up to the old town and the supermarket. Giulia was an amazing host, responding quickly to our queries and giving lots of useful information. We would definitely stay here again. Great air con, lovely kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bedroom. All modern and thoughtfully furnished. Washing machine was particularly useful. Perfect

The apartment is absolutely fantastic. It meets all the needs a family of four might have (I traveled with my family). The rooms are comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped. The apartment also offers two terraces, one of which is a secluded space at the back of the house—perfect for enjoying meals, stargazing at night, or simply taking a cooling shower during the day. The front terrace, on the other hand, offers a breathtaking view of the sea. It’s truly magical, especially with a cup of Italian iced coffee or a glass of chilled red wine (both of which are delightful in Salento). All in all, I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. Highly recommended to everyone!

Casa Di Giordy deserves well beyond a 10/10. We stayed for four nights and truly wished we could have stayed longer. The owners, Assunta and Rosario, made Giordy’s feel like home from the very beginning. They were incredibly accommodating; on our first night, when we missed the last bus to the property, they kindly offered to pick us up from the train station. Each morning, we were greeted warmly by Assunta and Rosario with smiles and a bountiful breakfast spread. We were spoiled for choice: cakes, crumbles, biscuits, juices, coffee, tea, cereals, and more!! with extra food offered to take on our day trips. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and homely, always kept spotless by Assunta herself with fresh towels and a clean, inviting scent. The balcony offered stunning views, and the air conditioning was perfect for the summer heat. The facilities were generous and well thought out, making our stay as comfortable as possible. As visitors from Australia, we had plenty of questions, and Assunta and Rosario went above and beyond to help us. They assisted us in renting a scooter, helped us get around when we didn’t have transport, and Rosario even drove us to our next accommodation in Otranto, taking the time to stop at scenic spots along the way so we could enjoy the views. We cannot thank Assunta and Rosario enough for their generosity, kindness, and genuine care. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Casa Di Giordy isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place where you feel truly welcomed and cared for. We will absolutely be back, and we already miss you both!

Castro is a beautiful town, divided into 2 parts, hill top old town , 10 -15 minutes ( steep) walk to the sea. The old town is fabulous , very small and choice of good places to eat. We were happy we chose to stay in the old town as it had more atmosphere. The port is stunning, so many places to swim, no beach but lots of rocks to swim from and little stairs to get in and out of the water. You can rent umbrellas and sun beds down by the harbor, we had to as it was mid thirties temp when we were there in late July. If you have your own umbrellas it might be tricky to put them up as it is all rocks, no sand. It’s a little jewel if a town, mostly Italian locals and tourists. You won’t regret your visit!

It is a lovely village we were lucky enough to stay while it was still quiet Like all seaside villages in Summer holidays I would imagine it would get very busy but I’m so happy to have spent time there

We felt very welcomed. The host treated us like we knew each other many years. He even explained us where to find the best spots in Castro. The breakfast was good, his wife organized everything. We could park our car right in front of the apartment, which was a plus. We could walk to the main attractions. Only the beach is a bit more far from this hotel. But the shared balcony had a nice view from he ocean. The hosts were living close by so you could always write them, if there would be a problem. We can recommend this hotel!

Hotel La Roccia is located right in the Marina and on the waterfront. Older style hotel with a few modern additions. Excellent location and views with access to beach chairs/beach club. Room was very spacious and quite basic but good value for money. Staff were always helpful. Walking distance to great swimming spots, cafes and restaurants. You walk to the old hill top town in about 20 minutes or take the tourist train for the uphill walk.

Hotel was very clean. Free parking in front of the hotel. 5 minutes to Castro Center. The Harbour is 20 minutes by feet away. All in all it was fine and good stay we can recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy time in Castro and comes with car.
