Castellammare is a lovely city, very authentic and very...

Castellammare is a lovely city, very authentic and very enjoyable to visit and immerse into the Italian lifestyle. Nice shops, lovely restaurants and bars. The Museum archeologico di stabia is a must-see to learn about the eruption and all of the archeological sites around the Vesuvius. People are very friendly and hospitable. there is a good shuttlebus service and excellent train service to many sites along the coast.

We got to the Hotel and there was a wedding taking place.

We got to the Hotel and there was a wedding taking place. We were told we could not use the restaurant or outside ares but could get a snack from the bar which closed at 7.30pm Were we to be sent to our room after this time? We were then told it was our responsibility to check that all the facilities were available for our stay which is a ridiculous comment. Obviously the Hotel is more interested in events than looking after individual guests. We did not say the night but found alternative Hotel in Sorrento.

There is not a proper beach, i.e. with sand.

There is not a proper beach, i.e. with sand. It's more a grassy area and places where you can sit but not really next to the sea. The esplanade was pleasant and quite busy. The restaurants we tried along the sea front served good and not too expensive food. It's good to use this place as a base to see Pompei and Sorrento, where accommodation is in general more expensive.

Castellammare di Stabia is a normal working town and much...

Castellammare di Stabia is a normal working town and much less touristy compared to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. It has great views across the Bay of Naples towards Mount Vesuvius. It is on the Circumvesuviana train line, so easy to get into Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento without a car. It was a very friendly and welcoming place. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from, although opening days and times were a bit erratic.

The sea front with its elegant buildings and promenade is...

The sea front with its elegant buildings and promenade is extremely attractive. The views towards Vesuvius are spectacular. The town itself does not seem anything special but it is much quieter than Sorrento which was somewhat overrun when we visited. At the same time, Sorrento is easily accessible.

The city is medium and what I don't like but this looks to...

The city is medium and what I don't like but this looks to be Italian style, they close the shops/stores to early ( about 20:30 ) ; for me a place on the sea cost acting like this is unusual !

The apartment is located centrally with all the conveniences you need in town. The train station is a 5 min walk from the apartment and it takes you to pompei, Napoli or Sorrento. The apartment is spacious, has a good equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower with good pressure. It's has a beautiful terrace you can use. To enjoy this terrace means you have to walk 4 flights of stairs. It's good practice for when you visit Positano or Amalfi. The host Antonello is there when you have questions or need assistance. I stay here again!

Great location for Pompei, Herculaneum, Mount Vesuvius as well as the Amalfi coast. Also just a short walk into the town centre which had great restaurants and bars, all recommended by the helpful and cheery staff of the hotel. Nala the dog was a friendly addition to the terrace. Such a peaceful retreat! Pool was lovely.

The view from the hotel is incredible. Super nice host! If you don't want to rent a car, ask the owner for the Antonio's number. He will bring you anywhere anytime. Maybe not exactly for the beach stay, but perfect location for discovering the Pompei, Naples, Amalfi coast, etc. We were super happy about the hotel! :)

It is the very convenient place of this hotel. Very close to town centre, train station and the hotel has their own car parking which looks small at first but will fit lots of cars in there.
