We loved this hotel and the staff were exceptional. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed . Spa facilities looked comprehensive and reasonably priced and the use of the lovely pool was a real bonus in the hot weather. Breakfasts and set menu dinners were all very enjoyable. Plenty of parking and beautiful setting.

The room itself wasn't very big but included an armchair, desk, mini fridge, big wardrobe; the bathroom was spacious and we had big balcony with a sitting area (shared with the next room). Parking was no issue. Breakfast buffet had enough variety for few days and plenty to choose from. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Located not far from the centre, connected to the local motorway.

Very quiet place near the national park and hiking trails.

Very quiet place near the national park and hiking trails. There is a small shop with a bar in Calavino, for food you have to go to the town of Serchio in the valley. But the town is not much. The place is suitable for mountain hikes.

We had a great time.

We had a great time. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was functional, and very clean. The only flaw was the bathroom: the shower didn't close properly, and a couple of towel racks weren't secure. If it had been at least a degree hotter, it would have been great, at least in the living area. We tried to make changes, but to no avail. Then you realize that given the current situation, you need to save money, and that's fine. Rating 8.5
