    Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was...

    Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. For those that understand I am sure must be fascinating.

    My hosts were great.

    My hosts were great. When returning from Salle del Turchi, some man wasn’t paying attention and opened his car door as I was passing and I was going slow as there was traffic, and the rental is scratched significantly and I will most likely have to pay for repairs. People drive way too fast. It’s an ok place to visit. If I had planned exactly what to do, besides the Temple ruins, it would have been better.

    Agrigento is a very charming town.

    Agrigento is a very charming town. It's small, but it's great for a 2-night stop to see the Valley of the Temples, walk around town, see Scala dei Tuchi, and go to the beach (e.g., San Leone). Worth a visit.

    The Valley of the Temples complex was very accessible...

    The Valley of the Temples complex was very accessible although a very large site (1300 hectares). You can also catch a courtesy mini train from within the park stopping at the individual ruins. Situated high on a ridge with views across to the sea you could spend a full day there or even two days (if you include the museum). Brilliantly preserved and cared for, there is an attractive and well provisioned cafe about half way along with toilets. The interpretive signage is in several languages and you can purchase a map and other guide information at the entry to the site. An astonishing and atmospheric example of ancient Greek civilisation in Sicily.

    The Valley of Temples was the main attraction of Agrigento...

    The Valley of Temples was the main attraction of Agrigento as well as the old city center. If you want to pack everything into one day, it is best to start with Agrigento town center and visit the Valley at sunset.

    The valley of the temples is wonderful but one needs to park...

    The valley of the temples is wonderful but one needs to park at gate 5 . The archaeological museum is the best we have seen . Good restaurants . Sol8 is a really good restaurant with friendly waiters. Santo spirit church is beautiful and you can buy little cakes from the nuns on the side of the church. Atena apartments are very convenient for walking around the city.

    Laura is an exceptional host with lots of helpful information about the area and insights about life in Sicily. Of all the places we’ve stayed at in Sicily, this one was the best thought through. It was spacious, clean, and lovingly designed by Laura. Laura welcomes you as if she's welcoming you to her house. The breakfast spread was extraordinarily generous, and the variety was incredible.     The location was great for exploring Agrigento, but the highlight was our host. He is a true gentleman, he has everything organized, the rooms are beautiful, he helps you with your luggage and gives you tips on when to visit which tourist attractions to avoid the crowds and get the most out of it. He also gave us a great tip on choosing a restaurant for dinner and everything was really great. The breakfast was perfect with local ingredients and the best croissants I have had in Sicily. A wonderful experience!

    The rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. Everything was thought in detail. The access with qr code is quite smart. The arrival was quite shocking as the apartment is located in a street full of garbage (that’s a common problem allover Sicily) and buildings falling apart, but the Alcobia camere is like an oasis. You simple go up the stairs and you are in the city center that is quite beautiful. The breakfast is in 2 locations near the rooms. Good food and nice service in both.

    Fantastic location and a view of one of the temples from our window. Friendly staff, room serviced well and excellent breakfast. The hotel restaurant is excellent, too, and we had one of our favourite meals in Sicily here - in particular, we enjoyed the chef's prepared dessert! Very big pool and lovely outdoor area. A short walk to the entrance of the temples.
