We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

The location was stunning, the view from our house was breathtaking, and the property and facilities were perfect. The hot tub was super warm, enjoyable, and added to the whole experience. Being able to sit under the stars and take it all in, simply amazing! The kitchen was HUGE and perfect to cook in. It was a perfect place to spend Christmas. We loved our stay here and will definitely come back in the future!

Its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful environment. This year we could also try the hot-tub, this made the stay even more complete. The staff and owners are very friendly. We will comeback for sure for the third time.

Clean rooms, comfy beds. Hot tub and sauna outside with a nice view were a great addition after a long day of adventures. Lady at the front office was very nice and helpful.
