A beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!

I want to add: my girlfriend forgot an important sweater of hers so we called them. They let us know he found the sweater and together we worked out a plan to get it back to us. This man sent the sweater by mail to Belgium so we could get it back?! This truly is peak hospitality, really taking care of your guests! Can only recommend!!

Isabelle and Marat are exemplary hosts and couldn’t have been more charming. The suite itself was exceptional in design and comfort and a great deal of thought had gone into the detail - beautiful linens and robes, well equipped kitchen and my favourite Skandinavisk toiletries. After some quite energetic salmon fishing it was wonderful to wind down at this wonderful suite, easing tired limbs in the sauna (with exceptional views) and falling into the most comfortable bed to dream about the lax! Amazing location. Just 2.5 hours from Reykjavík, easily accessible with good roads and fast free Wifi in the rooms. Remote hotel nestled in a beautiful mountain range. Perfect for star gazing or spotting the Aurora with literally no light pollution. Swimming pool heated from the hot spring water. As is the natural plunge pool situated above the hotel and below an icy waterfall. Amazing experience. Should really be a 4 or 5 star hotel with all it's facilities, but the main stars are definitely the owners. Great hospitality, both were very kind and friendly.

We had a truly exceptional time at Saudafell Guesthouse! We were the only guests at the house so we don't know how it is when it is full of guests. But our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful - having breakfast with them every morning was no only a pleasure, we learned a lot about life on their farm and in Iceland in general. We highly recommend staying here!

The owner is incredibly nice, the rooms are super confortable and clean. If you want to eat lamb, she selects the lambs herself and knows how they are raised and killed. The fish is caught by her son. Very nice place and people!
