The cabin itself is cozy and nice. Honestly, it's a great place to spend the weekend. We only stayed one night but we're planning to go back soon for a full weekend. It was my birthday and I enjoyed it so much with my friends. We were 6 and it was comfortable enough for us.

Had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very cozy and everything was brand new. The host was very accommodating and took care to check in that our every need was cared for. Also, the location was great, right near restaurants and a grocery store.

The building is beautiful both inside and out, with a unique charm thanks to its history as an old school. The atmosphere has a very cool, distinctive vibe. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and cozy. The shared bathrooms were decent and served their purpose. We also opted for breakfast, which featured a wide variety of options—and everything we tried was delicious.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

Easy to find and self-check in process. Comfy beds, good size bathroom. Great location if you’d like to actually spend some time in Pingvellir, Geysir & Gulfoss, outside of when all your coaches are arriving. As this hotel is situated perfectly in middle as a base. We didn’t have enough time to go to Fontana Spa unfortunately, but it surely looked nice. That’s in east walking distance too. Also easy to walk to lake foreshore, see the bubbling water. And the welcome chocolate was very nice. Thank you

Very kind and helpfull staff. Unfortmately the restaurant was closed but the gave us three nearby nice options to get dinner. The hotel offers free coffee and tea and there is a nice dining area where you can use their microwave and dishes for dinner.

Lovely hotel, our cabin was beautiful. Decorated with some lovely homely touches and pictures of the farm animals. Cabins were lovely and warm due to under floor heating. Food was delicious and the ice cream was so good!

Lovely, warm, comfortable room. Easy check in. Wonderful location - highly recommend a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana spa and their soup, bread and rye bread. Beautiful surrounding scenery.
