The location was amazing, you could see right across to the glaciers from the cabin window. Stefan was very friendly when we met him and let us know we had a chance of seeing the northern lights! We saw them and the view from the cabin was beautiful. The bed was really comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The water was really warm for the shower and the cabin was kept toasty warm too!

we loved the country rustic atmosphere of the place and the hosts were super nice! cozy cutest room and a rich breakfast full of homemade products which you could shop as well at super honest prices! I fell in love with the rhubarb and cinnamon compote :) unfortunately we didn’t try the restaurant for dinner but will surely be back for the summer.

We got the spectacular mountain view room so we could clearly see the glacier outlets. Great location for chasing the northern lights because the surroundings are farms with not much light. The food is nice. We had the signature local langoustine soup and vanilla ice cream for dinner and they were splendid. Rankes among my most favourite dishes in Iceland so far. The room is well equipped and comfortable. Good selection for breakfast.

Nice place, good managed, free tea and coffee in the canteen. Warm and comfortable room. Friendly staff with the exception of front-desk lady who shouted at us being 5 minutes before closure (10 pm) in the lobby.

Easy-going communication with the owners. Superb view from my room. There is a kitchen with almost everything you might need, including a coffee machine and ground coffee. Just a short drive from the ringroad. Compared to the places I visited before, the price-performance-ratio was excellent. The cleanliness of the bathroom was striking.

I liked everything about this hotel: location, view from the window, atmosphere. I was surpirised, that there was big flat TV in the room, though it was not on booking.com photos and was not mentioned in room ameneties. I liked a lot lime shower gel :)

We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away.

The room was spacious with large windows to the glacier. It was really quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Two extra pillows were offered. The staff was nice and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent!! Really good value for money.
