The location is a good base for travellers doing the golden circle. They offer northern lights alert. Though we weren’t able to see it in our stay, I imagine the hotel would be a perfect place to see the northern lights.

We had a free upgrade to the near Hotel Geysir. It was really good staying, big rooms, good restaurant, really near to the Geysir area, and the alert service for the Northern Lights were great. Really kind staff. I really suggest this hotel.

Great experience staying in a yurt. Cosy and warm in winter thanks to the underfloor heating. Friendly hosts. Perfectly located between Gulfoss and Geysir.

Excellent location, Well maintained. After a hectic day out this property is a perfect place to unwind. I would also recommend people who are interested in the aurora borealis this place offers the perfect location, You have to just stand in your backyard when there are clear skies you get lucky to spot them. The kitchen was well equipped, A common dining and living area with plenty of board games and not to forget the wonderful acoustic guitar. Overall I highly recommend this place if you are looking for accommodation around Gullfoss falls.

Best hotel we stayed in Iceland. Everything was super nice, room , facilities, breakfast, everything They even have two hot tubs in front of hotel and you can use it whenever you want. And was a good hot bath in the evening.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is its location, which is very close to several must-see spots in this area of Iceland. I was also very lucky because, being in a rural area, I could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Another strength of the hostel is its staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.

It is the perfect place to see the northern lights I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this purpose and the yurts are lovely, warm and cosy. Beata is the best person they have on their staff and their neighbours which also have a beautiful hotel with horse riding are so lovely and supportive.

We decided to take a trip around the country and I can say this was the best hotel we stayed in. The place was wonderful, staff was incredibly nice, food was delicious and we got to see the Northern Lights. Such a perfect stay. I highly recommend it.
