Lovely property! Very good location close to Gullfoss waterfalls and the geysir. The staff knocked on our doors to let us know that the Northern lights are visible! Definitely recommending this place!

Very clean and original accommodation! It is very conveniently located between geysir and Gullfoss. We arrived in the pouring rain, which did not disturb us at all, but rather made the experience all the more relaxing and enjoyable! Breakfast included was very good and amenities in the room were appreciated (fridge, kettle, tea, coffee). Photos accurately represent the accommodation. We loved our stay here.

It was probably the most cosy place we stayed during the trip. There is no unnecessary communication and code-entrance. The breakfast is not very special but delicious. Thanks for the pancakes! I also would add that the variety of jams and toppings was nice. Location is also good too – 15 min to reach the geysir, waterfalls etc. Book the lunch in the restaurant located in a greenhouse! Hot burgers are great. You can sit and watch the night sky. Also the hotel provides the bath robes. What’s amazing and comfy. Highly recommended!

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

My review is actually for the Hotel Geysir as we were upgraded. We originally booked Litli Geysir as there was 3 and hotel Geysir didn’t have triple rooms and this one did. When we arrived we were moved to hotel Geysir and given 2 rooms at no added charge. Everything was perfect. Staff lovely and accommodating; and food out of this world.

Fantastic experience!! Couldn’t recommend it more. It was a pleasure to stay here for the night. So relaxing being out in nature but still with all the comforts of a hotel. Lovely breakfast the next morning as well. The separate shower block, that is communal, is very clean.

The location is a good base for travellers doing the golden circle. They offer northern lights alert. Though we weren’t able to see it in our stay, I imagine the hotel would be a perfect place to see the northern lights.

We got upgraded to Hotel Geysir, which is very super nice. Room is spacious and comfortable. Superb breakfast. Big Parking lots. Very nice ambiance.
