This place exceeded our expectations. It is perfect for a first night in Iceland, warm, cosy, with breakfast included. The staff was very friendly. It is located close to the airport but also far enough not to be affected in any way by the noise. Highly recommended for a short stay.

Our room was upgraded to a suite. We thanked the receptionist and mentioned to her how wonderful that was as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. We had also mentioned we would be getting a bite to eat in the restaurant, she told the staff in the restaurant and they prepared a dessert for us with fireworks in it, a very classy act. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

    Gardur is a convenient location close to the airport. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable, The access was easy with no stairs for brining in luggage. I liked the small town and visiting the lighthouses nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.

    We stayed for six nights in one of the Gardur studios, which was a great place to spend our time in Iceland. The apartment was clean, fully equipped and cozy. We even managed to watch the northern lights from the window of our bedroom. Something that we will never forget. Margret is wonderful, always helpful in case you need. Thank you for everything

    We booked the apartments after a week in a Campervan and it couldn’t have been more perfect for a final night in Iceland! The interior is SO stylish and everything is thought of, from the spices in the kitchen to extra toiletries in the bathroom! Watching the snow come down whilst sat in the hot tub was the icing on the cake.

    The restaurant El Faro within the hotel is simply FANTASTIC! Book your 1st night or last night of your vacation in this hotel (when flying from/ to Reykavik International airport) and enjoy a lovely dinner. The hotel is only 15 min away from the airport but located in a quiet and beautifull area.

    The hotel is located near the airport (10 minutes by car), it is almost on the ocean and next to the airport, which adds a nice atmosphere. Our son was delighted with the waffles, which you could make for breakfast (and so were his parents :D).
