The guesthouse was our favourite in Iceland (out of 10 accomodations). The room was large and quiet, and the kitchen was very well furnished. Everything was extremely clean. The guesthouse is situated just outside of Egillstadir, and it was a very convenient place to sleep while travelling towards Höfn. I can recommend this place to anyone, and I would surely rebook it.

    It is unusual to find a place that has a still quietness...

    It is unusual to find a place that has a still quietness with great beauty. Sitting on the porch, I could only hear the wind and birds. My teenage grandkids loved it too. They were disappointed that we only planned to stay one night. We would definitely stay here again.
