- Perfect location in a not very busy are of Varkala, close to beautiful cliffs - Access to the beach was very easy from the resort - Resort is front beach and you can hear the sound of the sea - Comfortable bed, spacious and well eqquiped rooms, everything clean - Amazing staff and owner. Super helpful, humble and very nice. The manager Nevin is simply fantastic and he helped us a lot - Daily cleaning - Breakfast with a view to the beach, hearty breakfast with different options and deliciuos pancakes

Tiny Temple is a rare gem set back from a quiet section of 'the strip' close to Black Beach. Swati, the host, couldn't be sweeter. He was really helpful and made us feel completely at home. The location and view from the rooftop/deck is unbeatable and the price was totally reasonable (we were there just before 'high' season). New Wifi is being installed which will be the cherry on top! Another perk was the fine folks at Elina's Clifftop Restraunt (next door) who were really accommodating and even offered room/rooftop service. My daughter and I took a risk on a spot without reviews and in this case we're so glad we did. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Varkala. The hotel is new and impeccably clean, located in a prime spot on the North Cliff. The room was spacious, comfortable, and inviting, and the service was courteous and professional.

The staying was good, room is clean and all facilities inside worked as expected. Pay attention restoraunt on the rooftop is not working anymore, but if you search for freezer, it is there :) The location is very convinient just 20m to the walking cliff.

Wonderful Host very helpful and friendly, good wifi,aircon , very clean room (immaculate), good storage areas and places to put things in bathroom, nice little porch/balcony and good room lighting. extra towels were provided on request for beach swimming etc. If you want your room cleaned the service it’s free of charge once requested. Location is close to Varkala cliff with beach access and lotta of restaurants and cafes with tasty food and good view.

Great resort close to the beach. Pros: - Great location. Very close to a beach and cliff side. Railway station is 10mins by car. - Great staff: a manager that was communicating about our needs and arrangements from the time of my booking. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Chef makes some nice homely food. Even gate attendant was courteous and informative. - Great rooms: Nice, clean rooms with a powerful AC and nice bathroom fittings. Stocked Mini fridge as well. - Great food: Tasty, authentic Kerela breakfast options which you should try. Food prices are also very reasonable.

    What I liked most was the view from my balcony looking out to the sea. A room without a view would not be so agreeable. The grounds were beautiful with lovely tropical flowers and plants. There is an agreeable open air area for meals and breakfast. The breakfast was cooked to order. One day I had English breakfast and one day banana pancakes. The employees are helpful and agreeable. The pool area is also nice.

    Very nice coast, it’s possible to walk for kilometres along the coast. It’s quite turistic but mainly locals so it doesn’t bother too much. It’s possible to get into the sea only in very few places but I wouldn’t recommend it. The town has lots of markets, bakeries and restaurants. There are several yoga studios along the coast.

    It is a beautiful place with plenty of beaches, greenery, small town shops, water sports and the most beautiful mangroves. There are also nice places like the Jatayu Park and the Shri Narayana Guru Samadhi and ancient temples that are a treat to visit.

    Beautiful views worth seeing.

    Beautiful views worth seeing. However most visitors are rowdy which affects the comfort of people seeking a more down to earth experience. Restaurants often out price locals and cater to Western tastes; they seek a specific type of well put together, middle or upper class traveller. Monsoon season is likely a more relaxing time to be here with less rowdy visitors from out of town/state. Little cleanup efforts for the beaches. Bad sanitation and waste control. Waste burning unfortunately normalised.

    The beach was awesome, the water temperature and calmness of the sea making it perfect for swimming. Varkala itself had plenty of options for eating at any budget level and the people were friendly, helpful and generally very honest in their dealings with tourists. The temple was especially interesting for us and was mostly open to non-hindus to walk around its grounds.

    Location, close to temple and only 5 minutes from the quite Papanasam beach, some nice local restaurants around. Still in a green surrounding. Busstop Varkala Mandir to and from railway station is also only 5 minutes walk, 10 roepies. It’s about 25 minutes uphill to noisy and overcrowded Varkala cliff. Not my cup of tea. So I was happy to stay in the more original looking surroundings and quietness of Rams Gratitude Inn.

    The person managing it was very polite, and the ambience of the place was also very pleasant. It’s just 5 minutes away from North Cliff. The rooms and beds were comfortable, with hot water facilities available. They also have a play area and a large dining space. This is the best and most budget-friendly place to stay in Varkala if you're going on a trip with friends.

    This place is perfect because it’s the only resort directly at the varkala beach. everyone else needs to climb down the cliff while you just step out onto the sand. All the other stuff you expect from a hotel are good too. I had the cheapest room and it’s perfectly fine. the Restaurant is good too and the staff super nice
