First and foremost the location is nestled in peace with a resplendent view, literally in the lap of nature with Indus right infront of the property. Food and hospitality is beyond words with local tastes and wide assortment sitting in an atmosphere of local tapestries, carpets and local cutlery . Loads of thoughtful touches such as complementary fresh fruit / juice bought to the room, a packed lunch on leaving. My room overlooked the river which was nice background noise and also cooling. There are lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas and endless books, so great for chilling out while acclimatising. I also arrived before 8am, and was offered complimentary breakfast after which my room was ready. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful

This is a good hotel with all necessary facilities. I spent only one night there and was not able to evaluate the breakfast, but all other things were ok. The location is bout ten minutes from the central streets (Market etc). When I came, they allowed me to choose one of the two rooms. The first was on the ground floor and had a view on high mountains, but I chose the second, with a balcony and without such a view. I left the hotel very early in the morning - and there were no problems with that (even though the person responsible for that had to wake up). The territory of the hotel is flowery, clean and green and has several chairs where one can have a rest.

Perfect location near town centre, restaurants and shops. Room was fantastic, staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Bed was super comfy and amenities were excellent. Food was really good particularly the breakfast. Great views of snow laden mountains from the room. Highly recommend this hotel.

We could not be more grateful to have chosen Dolkhar Resort as our base for exploring Ladakh in late September 2024. The overall experience was beyond perfect and really made a huge difference to our travel. We were so impressed by how everything was coherent and beautifully curated in such remote location. The property is really flawless and done in such good taste. Everything is sustainable without any compromise on the comfort and aesthetics. We loved every detail of it. Their lovely staff helped us arrange everything before coming and define the itineraries for both the local trips while staying in Leh as well as the few days trip to the more remote locations. Everyone was extremely kind and looked after us during our stay. We ate at Tsas restaurant everyday and tried probably all the dishes which were local or modern interpretation of the local cuisine and each time it was a beautiful experience. It was clear to us that the people behind Dolkhar have put a lot of heart and thought to make this place so special. Thank you so much to everyone at Dolkhar for this exceptional experience and making our travel so perfect and easy.

The staff was extremely helpful and extremely friendly. They helped me with authorities and asked the road condition. Also the food was excellent. I can highly recommend the hotel.
