We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay with a warm, welcoming family. Vijeesh helped us see everyday life inside this small community - so much better than busier, touristy places up the coast. We had great time staying at the mundro garden homestay, deepa and her husband are wonderful hosts. They help us with arranging boating and touring of the island. Deepa cooking is very tasty, we also had a cooking lesson and it was a nice experience, we hope will be able to come again .

Uni was a most welcoming and helpful host. His mother is a great cook and the fresh and delicate meals she prepared were flavored with love. Best homey food we’ve had in Kerala! We loved everything about this property. Vishnu has created the most perfect space for ultimate relaxation on the beautiful canals of Munroe Island. Vishnu, his wonderful wife Pooni and their two children were incredible to us during our stay, helping us with anything we needed and showing us their island home. Pooni also is an amazing cook, providing wonderful local South Indian foods. Vishnu also took us on a sunset canal tour for multiple hours which was absolutely fantastic, with Vishnu explaining the history and traditions on the Island as we went along. Two bikes are also provided for us to ride around the Island at our own pace exploring everywhere. Overall we loved our stay, and would recommend to anyone who would like to wind down from their busy travels and relax for a few nights. With great wifi speeds, there is also the option of extending your stay and settling down with Vishnu and his family for a few months.
