Very nice and peacefull property in the heart of Kohima. Staff was very helpfull and friendly, food was exellent and in perfect naga style. The view from our room was gorgeous. We loved it.

The local cuisine at the home stay is exceptional . The owner is very courteous and goes out of his way to arrange all that his guests require of him. He is also a great raconteur and knows the history, myths and folklore of the place. He is very rooted and invested in his community and deeply concerned about ethical business practices. I Highly recommend the place.

We had an awesome stay. The staff was simply wonderful, always smiling and ready to lend a helping hand.A shout out to the restaurant staff who provided great service and the chef who made the yummiest food. Had a great stay at Mechüki. It is in a very good location, especially during Hornbill, because it is right next to the Night Carnival. The host is incredible, she helped me with everything I needed and also gave me plenty of reccomendations. You can feel that the people running the hostel truly care.

Kohima is not so quaint, upbeat , happening and stylish town...

Kohima is not so quaint, upbeat , happening and stylish town in itself. The food, people and the sight seeing all is great. I visited during the christmas vacation thus majorly restaurants were closed but ofcourse I had the time to enjoy lots of food( heaven for non vegetarians btw) what a beautiful town and super view points.. clean streets and smiling people.. please shop for some very stylish garments here as you would want to looking at the locals style. Places to visit: churches, cafes, khonoma and dzuleke. If you can manage treks then dzuko is worth it( camp at night, accommodation available at top) japfu trek is actual tuff trek and please take a local and be prepared for some heart in mouth moments. Kohima can be easily travelled for 3 days without trek and more with treks
