Vijash and his family run this Fabulous homestay on Munroe island. We had a lovely big a/c room with private bathroom. There is a communal area where meals are served and/or just to chill with hammocks and comfy chairs. We went on the early evening sunset canoe trip - amazing just floating down the canals. Also got up at 5:00am for the sunrise canoe trip, spectacular. The food, wow... Absolutely delicious take on South Indian cuisine I can safely say that these was the best meals I've had in Kerala. Highly recommend this homestay.

The staff was very helping, both when we arrived Munroe Island late at night, but also when we wanted to go for activities during the day. They were available on the phone throughout the whole day, and answered all the questions we had. We even got to borrow their scooter, to discover other villages nearby! The power went out during the day, and they changed our rooms to a new one with power, without us even asking. Very good service, and friendly people:)

Devika and her family are very warm and kind. They made us feel at home. The homestay is peaceful and very clean with a wonderful garden, and Devika cooks the most delicious meals. We did the sunrise boat trip with Devika's father in law, which was beautiful. Thanks for everything!

Fanstastic food, Very friendly service, we felt part of the family. Suresh went above and beyond to make sure we could enjoy our stay on the island. He took us by motorbike, organised a sunrise canoe ride, kayaks and bikes for us as well as a visit to a thread making factory and rickshaws to the train station. When my son left his wallet in the room he organised a courier to have it sent on to our next destination.

Uni and his families were amazing guest, always kind and friendly and ready to give advices, tell good anecdotes and give delicious food and marvellous tour. We loved everything about this property. Vishnu has created the most perfect space for ultimate relaxation on the beautiful canals of Munroe Island. Vishnu, his wonderful wife Pooni and their two children were incredible to us during our stay, helping us with anything we needed and showing us their island home. Pooni also is an amazing cook, providing wonderful local South Indian foods. Vishnu also took us on a sunset canal tour for multiple hours which was absolutely fantastic, with Vishnu explaining the history and traditions on the Island as we went along. Two bikes are also provided for us to ride around the Island at our own pace exploring everywhere. Overall we loved our stay, and would recommend to anyone who would like to wind down from their busy travels and relax for a few nights. With great wifi speeds, there is also the option of extending your stay and settling down with Vishnu and his family for a few months.
