Rooms were clearly newly built/renovated to a high standard and very clean. Beautiful views over the local landscape and only 10mins walk to the beach. Accomodation is attached to the pub, which served food & drink and had live music.

Great location close to the village of Kilcar. Close to the magnificent Atlantic sea and Slive Leig cliffs , You get a house in the country side , yes a whole house complete with a new kitchen. Quiet, I had the best nights sleep in months. Krista and Stephen are a lovely couple.

Such a lovely little spot. Very comfortable and peaceful and only a few minutes walk into the village. A great wee base for a few days exploring round this beautiful area. Hosts very very kind and helpful.

We couldn't have imagined a more wonderful place to start...

We couldn't have imagined a more wonderful place to start our trip to Ireland at the foot of the Sleive League! The pub food was terrific and the friendly staff made us feel so welcome. Later in the evenings, musicians spontaneously arrived and started to play together on various instruments. It was better than we had even hoped it could be. The Rusty Mackrel is a very unique B&B and we loved our two day stay. We hope some day to come back again.

In a spectacular location in south Donegal.

In a spectacular location in south Donegal. There is an excellent pub, there are shops and other facilities a couple of miles away. Guests should be prepared for wet and windy weather (we were lucky). The main attraction ais Slieve League, The Rusty Mackeral serves good food etc. Other area of Donegal are easily reached ie. Glencolumbkille, Gweebarra, Glengesh, Killybegs and the Blue Stack mountains.

Best thing is trip up to Sliabh liag cliffs stunning views.

Best thing is trip up to Sliabh liag cliffs stunning views. Also beautiful beach nearby Silver Strand. Teelin does not have any shops except for a café/gift shop near the visitors Centre and extremely limited accommodation. You can do boat trip and cliffs in one day. Its all about the scenery.

Lovely wee place in the middle of nowhere, perfect for a...

Lovely wee place in the middle of nowhere, perfect for a tranquil get away. Be sure to climb Slieve League for some stunning views. Lovely waterfalls and beaches in the area but best to go by car. Rusty Mackerel is a must for food, staff very friendly and welcoming
