We were pleased with the welcome we received upon arrival; an offer of a drink once we settled in the room. The size of the room, the cleanliness, the coziness, and location met or exceeded expectations. The small kitchenette was an added bonus. Everything was amazing, starting with the staff. Bernhard and Petra were lovely and stayed up late to wait for us on the first day as we were delayed. Additionally they were amazing with our pet, Pilou. They prepared the room (extremely roomy) with extra bowls for water/food and a pet bed that Pilou loved! Breakfast was very tasty and diverse. The location was easy to reach by car and is amazingly quiet and pretty. You have views on the lake and a big fenced field in the back for pets that Pilou loved playing in with their pets (Special nod to Barnaby and Leroyd :D) Another thanks go to Petra and Bernhard for taking the time to discuss with us and answer our (very many) questions about Ireland and the process of moving there. If you’re searching for a place where you and your pet can unwind, connect, and make unforgettable memories, look no further than Leroy's Lodge. With their warm hospitality, pet-friendly amenities, and beautiful surroundings, we left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to return for another stay, and you can bet our furry friend will be right by our side.

The location is absolutely breathtaking. The host were welcoming and very helpful. The room had everything you need, very clean and we had a good night sleep as very quiet location. Breakfast was lovely, your choice of continental or a fry up. Overall a brilliant stay and would totally recommend it and stay there again.

Great little town, friendly and welcoming. Lots of history, beautiful park and marked walk around the town. Free parking with plenty of space. Grocery store, butchers coffee shops, gas station, selection of great pubs and souvenir shops amongst others in the high street. Super little place.

Hasn’t changed since childhood holidays 48 years ago! People still very friendly and welcoming. Love the quick wit and sense of humour. Great village-style choice of pubs, food shopping, restaurants and gift shops. Sense of a real and supportive community. Everyone flexible and willing to help. Easy access from village to multiple sports and beautiful views.

Lovely village, friendly people and close enough to Galway...

Lovely village, friendly people and close enough to Galway City. We had a night out at Powers Thatch Pub and the food and service was excellent. The live music was a bonus, thoroughly enjoyed the Irish music.

This was a great place to explore the surrounding areas. It also has a castle in the area and an association with the film The Quiet Man. It is a friendly town with 2 supermarkets and a number of places to eat.

A cute small town with nice restaurants and cafes. A few nice shops. Nice place to stay I'd you're traveling around Connemara. It's about and hour to Kylemore Abby as well as to the ferry or airport that gets you to the Aran Islands. Definitely work a stop if you have some time. Powers is a wonderful pub and restaurant.

The house is close to Oughterard and we found the area to be very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation itself is finished to a very high standard, it is very clean and surprisingly spacious. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking a good meal. Host Eileen was so nice; she included lovely touches such as providing treats, snacks, and breakfast. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a little bit of quiet luxury.
