Reception staff were very welcoming and efficient, especially when I asked to move rooms as I don't like lifts, so they moved us to a lower floor. Restaurant staff were also very welcoming, breakfast was lovely with so much choice. The hotel is in a great location to walk everywhere and car parking 5 minutes away. On the whole, a lovely hotel, rooms presented well, would definitely stay again.

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

Beautiful historic city.

Beautiful historic city. I am sure I could have spent a few more days there and even more out and about the country side. Day tour trip to Galway and Cliffs of Moher well worth it though personally don't like bus rides. the guide was good and if you do go, don't choose the back seat unless you have 4 other very close friends.

We did not have enough time in Dublin.

We did not have enough time in Dublin. We spent 2 full days and it was not enough to see everything we wanted. The PEOPLE, the PEOPLE....I cannot say enough about the PEOPLE of Dublin & Ireland!! They are TRULY amazing & love to talk to you! The people made our trip so much more special!! We enjoyed ourselves completely in Dublin. Just wish we had more time! I have to say our best meal was at the Brazen Head...It was very crowded but, we loved seeing the locals interact with each other & the tourists! It was very easy to get around by walking to the different areas we visited. We had wonderful weather so we were able to see & enjoy the outdoor parks. Marsh's Library was one of our favorite spots.

A city which certainly needs more time to explore than what I initially expected. Stayed for the weekend, however I would certainly return with more time and better prepared to explore it. The only downside is that maybe its public transport system is not as good as other European capitals, which might prove to be inconvenient at times, but there's plenty of taxis and other services that can help you move around in case of an emergency.

Dublin is vibrant and multicultural, visited by tourists...

Dublin is vibrant and multicultural, visited by tourists from all over the world. There is so much to see; the green tour bus (excellent commentary by our driver) is a great starter. Whilst on the green bus ask for a free ticket to The Little Museum in Dublin - brilliant. EPIC museum is also fantastic telling the story of Ireland's history. It enthralled us and we left much more informed of Ireland's amazing heritage and cultural impact across the globe. Buses, trams and trains are plentiful and we got a 3 day visitor pass that allowed us to use all modes as much as we wanted. 18 Euros each from Spar in O'Connell Street. Absolutely well worth it. Merchant's Arch is a beautiful city centre pub where I joined an Irish dance session which is on every afternoon at 2.30. About 22 Euros. Fantastic fun. We took a trip to Howth by train (included in visitor pass) - a lovely little seaside town. Some great Fish and Chips there. We loved Dublin and would like to return and see more as we couldn't get to everything. Our location - the stylish Beckett Locke in the Docklands - was perfect for us. Finally, but perhaps most importantly, the Irish people are so friendly and will help you in any way they can.

Well - we came with a 'Family History' mission.

Well - we came with a 'Family History' mission. (And we have been to Dublin City Centre in the past). We did not do the 'normal' Dublin, but for both of us this was just as good. We only explored Dublin9 - Drumcondra, Glasnevin Cemetery and the National Botanic Gardens . There's a good day to be had - could be two - but at 67yo plus it's about all the walking. That said. Dublin always delivers. Shamefully - neither the Glasnevin Cemetery, nor the National Botanic Gardens, feature on the my next set of options under this question on this feedback form. SO. I'm saying PLEASE enjoy an great day out in Dublin 9. Better still if there is family history interest at the Glasnevin Cemetery. It's a walk of discovery there, and the staff are top notch. And just next door is the National Botanic Garden. If you are like me, it's all about the history, architecture, - and 'glass-house' architecture. BUT I even photographed some plants.... ALSO There are two traditional pubs, with good food, just up the road. 'Fagan's' and 'Kennedys' - and I mean, both... with Edwardian architectural interest and good menus (and affordable prices for Dublin). This was a Dublin visit with no River Liffey. But Brilliant!

I had a wonderful stay at Hampton by Hilton in Dublin! Everything was perfect – the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I could ask for. The location is also great, just a short walk from the city centre, which made it super easy to explore Dublin. Overall, I can only recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. Great service, clean rooms, and a very welcoming atmosphere, I’ll definitely stay here again!

It was expensive considering it’s €17 Cab fare each way to the city. (Approximately 12-15 mins in car to city centre) very clean and comfortable though. Also cleaners were there dead on 11am and practically escorted us out the door, being in Ireland you would expect them to be a little friendlier, they barely said hi to us but walked out to lock the door after us, I found that strange for such a renowned friendly City such as Dublin.

The hotel feels like staying in a real castle. The location is excellent — I took bus number 16 from Dublin Airport and got off at Parnell Street, right outside the hotel.
