Zanzibar Locke is such a cool hotel apartment and I would definitely go back! The hotels are generally expensive in Dublin so I can't say it's 100% affordable however I was travelling for work so it was covered by my company. Very lucky to have stayed there, very comfortable and customized, they give you tips about everything in the city and they have yoga/stretch sessions, running sessions they do for whoever wants to join for free. The room had every single thing you might have needed, you can cook there, iron, clean the room yourself if needed - they clean once every week. Really loved the design details in the hotel, the food in the cafe was also great and wished I wouldn't leave. The location is in the city center so a very lively place infront of Ha'penny bridge :). Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming reception set the tone for a fantastic stay. The hotel’s design is stunning—modern, edgy, and full of rock-inspired details that make it truly unique. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, blending style and comfort perfectly. A memorable experience that I’d highly recommend!

Great hotel in a very convenient location - a couple hundred meters from the St. Patrick's Cathedral, some 15' walk from the central area. The hotel is super comfortable, rooms are spacious enough with very comfortable beds and bathroom, and the restaurant/bar is very nice too. I love the breakfast, where we choose by the menu (including a very nice Irish complete breakfast), but for the record, my wife didn't like that part so much (she prefers when there's a buffet). Price is a bit steep, but the overall value is great.

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

Irish cultural impact is remarkable - recommend EPIC museum of Irish emigrantion stories as well as Trinity College visit with Book of Kelts exhibition. And Guiness brewery and Whiskey museum! We were getting around mostly on foot as lot of sightseeing was around our place of stay at O´Connelly street. It is possible to travel cheaply by bus but you need coins to pay in the bus or buy a traveller´s card. To experience nice coast line, travel by train to Howth, it is about 40min. trip with regular and cheap train connection from Dublin stations.

We loved the house at Canal View, it was close to all of Dublin's main attractions but also away from the hustle and bustle. The Irish people are friendly and willing to help if needed but they are not pushy. The city has a very safe vibe and there is lots to see and do! We did visited the Cliffs of Mohr, Giant's Cause way, Dark Hedges Northern Ireland and toured the Book of Kells, all were wonderfull! Audrey our host recommended the cliff walk in Howth; we did it on our last day the sun was shining and it was another wonderful experience, so glad we were able to do it.

I booked tours before I arrived in Dublin, doing local in Dublin, then the outskirts, then introduced the Celtic and history tours, and scenic longer tours. Then, with shorter tours finished up the day with touring local places like Christ Church Cathedral. All our time in Dublin was a full day, and so much more to see and plan to come back to see more. More tours exploring small villages would be great , some are so full of history. There is so much to see that one can't take it all in in a couple of weeks.

Location was good. Ideally located on a main bus route from both Dublin City Centre, & Dublin Airport. So a "greener" stay could be achieved. The Host was very helpful and willing to help you get the most from your stay at the hotel and in Dublin. Some nice local independent shops, bars and restaurant's within walking distance, to help you unwind after a days exploring. Hotel was quiet at night, ensuring a good nights sleep.

Attentive staff, comfortable and spacious room, location convenient for events at AVIVA Stadium and also Dublin city centre. The hotel catered well to the event we attended with a late bar, late light bites food service, themed DJ playing that specific artists music to serve returning concert goers after getting back from the Stadium late at night. Really impressed, such a good vibe.

I usually stay at another hotel near here, but it was fully booked this stay. Next time I am in Dublin I will stay ar the NYX. Great products in the bathroom as well.
