The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. The house is very nice and tidy. In kitchen you can find everything what you need and it is so easy especially when you are with kids. Amazing view and fireplace its like a huge bonus. Host is very helpfull,gave us cot bed for our baby and cute baby blanket.Highly recommended!

It was a fantastic accomodation in a great location. It was spotless. You could see the hosts had put their hearts into it. There were homemade cookies and Guiness bread left for us on the table (don't forget to take a recipe if you stay there), milk&butter in the fridge. The beds were so comfortable, the bathroom and the kitchen had everything we needed (and even more). The children enjoyed watching some cartoons on Netflix in the morning. The cottage is close to Slieve League, Silver Strand Beach and the folk village. We will definetely be back.
