So many little gems on Valentia Island, we visited the Cable Station House and had the tour which was so interesting, we went on a nature walk nearby, we visited the slate quarry, Glanleam beach, we drove down to the lighthouse, the scenery is just beautiful, the Royal Hotel does gorgeous food, and the room was very comfortable and spacious, by accident we found the Geokaun mountain and cliff walk, which was spectacular as was the Bray head walk, Valentia Island is well worth a visit.Guest review byJackieIreland

It is ideally located near the main village of the island, so the shop/ hotel/ pub and the ferry/ pier are in walking distance. It has beautiful gardens, and the seashore is literally in the back garden. The owner was such a lovely friendly man, who gave us recommendations on places to eat and places to see. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. We had a lovely stay and I will certainly recommend the place to others.Guest review byNiamhIreland

The room was huge and we had an unexpected side view of the sea which was lovely. The hotel is much bigger than we thought it looked online, so is the bar and restaurant. We had a lovely vegan meal in the restaurant. The Thai curry was excellent. The staff in the hotel were all lovely.
