This Castle was a beautiful place inside and out. Very cared for gardens. The various Restaurants and The Keeper Bar was a quirky place to sit and enjoy a few Spritzers. We loved the Lounge area and open fire. The Golf Course looked great even though we didn’t play.

Anna, right from the beginning of the booking was brilliant with directions to this little hidden gem outside of Athy town centre. Also, she provided us with a local cab company to get to and from a wedding in the area. On the day of arrival Anna was in contact again about arrival but her little info book gave a few recommendations for eating in town. Anna, message is again to say she would extend the check out as well which was lovely.

The property was superb. Very cosy and had all the mod con’s needed. Dolores and John were extremely friendly and helpful and even had scones for us on arrival and came over to meet us. The icing on the cake was their beautiful dogs who are so friendly. It was top class from start to finish and couldn’t recommend highly enough. John and Maura, Leitrim.

Absolutely one of the best stays I’ve had in a while. The people were extremely friendly, helpful and thoughtful and ensured that we had all we needed all the time - be it suggestions for a good pint of Guiness or cut wood for the fireplace. You’ve good views all around you and a cosy place to return to after your adventures in Ireland!

Our lodge was very big and so calm with a view to the woods, which was very calming during our stay. The bed was very comfy, we also received a baby cot, the kitchen had more to offer than expected. The castle and its ambiance are charming, lots of green and very calm in general. The personal was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the price and it left nothing to be desired. The breakfast room is in the castle itself, which let us feel the castle, too, although we stayed in the lodge. The lodge was clean. The blanket was very useful in the cold morning. The lodges are quite near to the castle (it looks further afar in the pictures).
