The castle was lovely and the heritage center was a lot of fun and very informative, there are some lovely restaurants, we ate in the old barracks food was delicious and we got some lovely cakes to take away. The staff in all areas of the hotel were exceptional, warm and friendly, helpful and efficient. Best hotel experience we've had in a long time and we are avid travellers. The hotel was immaculate, modern with a warm welcoming feel. Food was excellent. We had a nice time here . The heritage centre is worth a visit. For 5 euro you get to go on a tour and learn lots of the history of Athenry in a fun and interesting way ,you get to wear costumes and you get to do archery and a maze. Such a lovely experience. There's also a castle and an Abbey to visit . Great playground for children. The food in the restaurants and pubs was just gorgeous. The people were friendly and nice. The room was updated and modern; well maintained and cared for. The staff was courteous and friendly. I knew that if I had any concern or need that they would meet it. The restaurant was excellent. We had both lunch and breakfast and the food was at the top of our trip to Ireland. You need to make this a stop even just to have dessert.
