Belitung... a beautiful island that you should definitely visit! A real alternative, not just for Seychelles lovers. The UNESCO Geopark offers travelers endless picturesque landscapes and locations, from lush green natural paradises to breathtaking beaches.  Belitung is not yet really developed for tourism and so a probably quite impersonal stay in one of the few large hotels would not have been an option for us. If you want to get to know the country and its people, the Tanjung Tinggi Cottage is a wonderful place for you! Idyllically located in the village of the same name, you will find the ideal starting point for exploring the island. Even before you arrive, the owners, Yoyo, and Askan, the cottage manager, are available to help and advise you on any questions you may have and you feel like you are coming home to good friends. On site you benefit from their willingness to help through explanations and insider tips about the island, free provision of bicycles, arranging good and cheap scooters, preparing breakfast of your choice and much more. No effort is spared to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible. It's not far to the nearby fantastic beach, Tanjung Tinggi, about 5 minutes by bike or scooter, about 20 minutes on foot. Belitung at Tanjung Tinggi Cottage - highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

This is a great place to relax. The beach I the cleanest I have seen in Indonesia. Turtles are swimming just off the hotel beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. The fried banana with chocolate is delicious.

I had an amazing time at Sheraton Belitung! The resort is stunning — beautiful beach, crystal-clear water, and peaceful surroundings. My room was spacious and clean. The staff were truly exceptional — warm, professional, and always ready to help. I especially loved the food, the beachfront setting, and the overall relaxed atmosphere. Very spacious room in a quiet area of town. Motorbike rental can be arranged by reception. Good AC. Staff will do their best to help you, however, limited english sometimes. Comfy bed.

A fantastic hotel. We couldn’t believe what great value for money this hotel was but what sets this hotel apart from others is the service. Every member of staff we encountered could not do enough for us. It’s the best service we’ve had in our 4 week trip around Indonesia. The rooms were very comfortable with excellent aircon, great shower, extremely clean with a fridge and the usual amenities. Dinner at the hotel was also very good as was breakfast. The general manager spoke to us numerous times checking everything was okay as well as many of the other staff. We didn’t use the pool as we were on day trips but it was big. They also let us check in early which was appreciated as we were going on a day trip so it was good to leave our bags in the room. Photo below of one of our day trips. Would highly recommend the hotel. And we absolutely loved Belitung.
