Love Sanur..The beach walk is awesome with so many Warungs on the beach..plenty of push bikes to hire & the beach is great for families with younger children..The main street has lots of shops, food choices & spas to keep everyone happy..
Adorable beach town, clean and a lot calmer than hyper-busy Ubud in the interior. Spectacular beaches with wonderful foot & bike path all along the beach front. Awesome scenery of the bay, reef break and Mount Agung in the distance. Plenty of world class restaurants, warungs & cafes, sophisticated ambiance if you want it, or casual, relaxed - there is something for every taste & demographic. Great getaway point for ferries to the islands of Nusa Penida, Lembongan and the Gili's. The cherry on the top is the warm and friendly locals everywhere, you never feel pressured, unsafe or unwelcome. Another highlight was the free yoga classes on Karang beach every morning, taught in Indonesian by local yogi's part of the Seger-Oger movement. It's was a delight to stay in this community, a real gem compared to Kuta's or Seminyak's cacophony of crowds and busyness.
The beach, in most areas, isn't as nice as the pictures make it look.. I also think typically, one area of the beach is extremely similar to the next. Dinner on my final night of stay was at Coco Bistro at Semawang beach - while the food is a bit more expensive that Warung's, it was tasty and the view sitting right on the beachfront was pretty nice!
Sanur was the upmarket side of Bali until Uluwatu and Nusa were developed. It's a nice area, without the business off the south coast, and few pubs and clubs with their sometimes/often less than savory clientele. Sanur is a great location for families with young kids, no big surf, and older people who don't want, or need, the nightlife of Legian to Canggu. Cheeky Monkey is a good place to eat, walk out, turn right, and it's less than a hundred metres on the same side.
2nd trip to Sanur and in Candidasa now but will go back to Sanur for last week. Love it. The footpath construction is neverending so look out for that but the beach area around Icon and south to Maya is awesome. No hassling on the beach, love the beach side walk end to end, amazing plant based cafes and restaurants and daily coffee at Kopi Kiosk and yoga at KOA Shala. Divine
Sanur has great resorts along the beach and one can walk for kilometres along the beach, stopping at different wahrungs, caffees etc. However outside the resorts it is a nightmare. Great place to laze by the pool but as a resort, not a great spot.
The property looks like the photos provided and its clean (in Bali standards; some moisture damage). You get robes, flipflops, pool towels and the basic bathroom kit. At breakfast you can choose to have a cappuccino, if you so wish (at most hotels you have to pay extra). Breakfast is a mix of buffet and menu choices and its okay. The location in Sanur is good. The Akana was my first choice when I started looking for Bali accommodations, however, sad to say I was a bit disappointed.
We had a lovely stay at Abian Klumpu Villa & Spa. The villa is beautifully designed with a peaceful, cozy feel—surrounded by lush gardens and calm energy. A special thanks to Asti, who was not only warm and welcoming, but also very knowledgeable. She shared so much about Balinese culture and local festivals, which made our stay even more meaningful. Highly recommended for a relaxing and culturally rich experience in Sanur.
Prama Sanur was a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the facilities. The pools were great and so was the swim up bar for our cocktails. Also all the trees for relaxing on rhe beach were a game changer, other hotels do not have this. The restaurant on the beach for pizza and music at night was great. Staff were helpful and kind. The spa next to the hotel was fabulous for massages. I would rcommend for families and couples.
Sanur
The guest house's lush garden and tasteful Balinese décor contribute to its charm, making it feel like a hidden oasis in busy Sanur. Its location makes it very walkable from the beach and Icon Bali. Rooms are clean and the grounds and pool while small provide a nice quiet retreat to relax. The hotel's quietness while being so close to the shops and centre of Sanur were very much appreciated.
Sanur
Andi is a great host - always on hand to deal with any issues, and offer advice about Sanur. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and we love the kitchen and outdoor living area. Great location with many eating options nearby - the beach is an easy 10 minute walk away. The open ‘village’ feel of the hotel is nice - it’s spacious and you don’t feel crowded by other guests.
The location of Respati Beach Hotel is perfect. Right on the beach and in the middle of Sanur. The staff were extremely helpful and really lovely. We had a late flight leaving Bali but we were able to leave our luggage at reception, spend the day on the beach and then use a room to shower before going to the airport. What a bonus. We loved our stay at Respati. We highly recommend this hotel.
The staff at the Samata couldn't have done more to make our trip more special. The location is about a 30 min drive from the beach in Sanur in traffic so easy to get a taxi. The hotel is like the perfect oasis to relax and fully unwind. We dis rhe spa and the pricaye BBQ in our villa, both which I would really recommend. You will not go wrong staying here, it is very special!
Good location close to Icon Bali and lots of restaurants. Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. Front office team was very helpful while housekeeping team was efficient in the daily cleaning. Owners also own the Luhtu Cafe and Ayu Spa on the beachfront, so they are kind of a service extension to the hotel. Would definitely stay again.
It was a very nice quiet hotel. The staff were so sweet. The breakfast was amazing and lunch and dinner also delicious and reasonably priced. Very nice pool. The room was comfortable and big. Not too far to the Icon mall and beach. Lots of restaurants to chose from. Definitely a great chose in Sanur.
It is a great hotel for families with a great entertainment area although there were balls missing from the pool table, etc. A nice kids pool area with slide. The 2 bedroom rooms were amazing and had 2 bathrooms as well. There is a gate at the back to access the main sanur area but it closes early.
Location is superb! This hotel changed my mind about staying in the south part of Bali. I used to avoid it since I thought South Bali was all crowded and noisy. Didnt know that Sanur has quiet beach with ample selections of eatery places, beach walk, beach cycling in serenity along the beach.
Sanur
A really nice hotel in a great location in Sanur. Lovely staff, breakfast was excellent. Nice pools. Many shops and restaurants right nearby and a 7-10 walk to the beautiful Sanur beachfront walkway. Loungers available for guests at the beach.

Sanur
Everything. Such a kids-friendly open beach space with cozy interior villa and unpretentious hotel atmosphere. A gem in Sanur.
A nice hotel in the southern part of Sanur. Staff were very good, room was fine, aircon very good.
Hotel is right on the beach. Family rooms have 2 rooms and sleep 4p
