The most wonderful host Imelda and Yohann. Beautifully set on the hill top with gorgeous views. The meals was exceptional and the rooms were quiet and huge. Horses and dogs roaming freely , the cat Princess was just adorable.

A very enjoyable stay at Rua Beach Resort Sumba. The hotel is located right by the beach, with a pool and a restaurant, making it perfect for relaxation. The price is absolutely fair for the quality of services provided. Contrary to previous comments, we didn’t miss having constant internet access or Netflix – this place is designed to disconnect from everyday life, not to spend time in front of screens. The resort is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful nearby beaches. If someone is looking for luxury at $2000 per night, they should look elsewhere. Rua Beach Resort is a place worth recommending, full of peace, nature, and a unique atmosphere that’s hard to find in crowded resorts. We wholeheartedly recommend it! Kind regards and thank you for the wonderful time we spent there!

Antonio and the staff go above and beyond to help you with airport-pickups, motorbike rental, day trip-planning and make sure they have amazing food for dinner and breakfast. Solène and Stéphane are the best hosts you could ever imagine, they are bringing such a good energy on this pristine resort with magnificent view! Stéphane took us for a dawn patrol surf sessions with the quads, and spent a lot of time with us on the evening ☺️. We will definitely come back!

Even if we are not fluent in English, everyone was very kind and my husband who is not used to traveling abroad, enjoyed our stay. The butlers were always looking out for us and were quick to arrange various activities. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. It was a dreamy sight to see horses running around on the beach. Of course, we would like to visit often in the future.

My husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon at Lelewatu Resort. Photos really don't do the place justice, you have to be there to fully experience the magic! The location was absolutely stunning, we felt like we were at the edge of the world. Our villa overlooking the ocean was hands down the best place we stayed in during our trip to Indonesia; the private pool was such a luxury, and the room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was so special to see dolphins from our room every day! The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay; we felt very safe with our excellent driver Rudy, the general manager Bagus personally picked us up from the airport, Wanto took amazing photos of our sunrise horse-riding experience, and Colin was always ready to greet us with a smile and interesting facts about Sumba. We had zero communication difficulties during our stay. The food was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from; we enjoyed both room service (particularly for breakfast) and also eating in the main dining area. We were able to fully appreciate Sumba's natural beauty and cultural significance in a short period of time (3 days) through the day trips organised by the resort, which were private and fully personalised; the staff were extremely flexible, and tailored the tours according to our interests and schedules. We couldn't have asked for a better stay on this unique island!
