It truly holds its own next to five-star properties like Alila Villas and Mathis Lodge, yet comes at a fraction of the price. The area is absolutely magical, offering a level of peace and quiet that's hard to find elsewhere. The rooms are of five-star quality — everything works perfectly, and the bathroom was spotless. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. For me, that's the most important factor when choosing where to stay. The owner personally oversees everything, and every request was handled with care and warmth. It was the best service I've ever experienced. If you value a beautiful room with stunning views of the island, this is a must-visit. The pool was amazing — I ended up spending the entire day there, just soaking it all in. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

The place it's truly unique and special. It's beginning with separate territory and the journey to get in. Cabin it's self located separately and you will find peace without other guests. The chief made a Wonderfull food with top grade cuts. If I manage to cut vegetables and serve food that way, I think I would reach pure ZEN. Nice furniture, bed, table and perfect place to escape from Bali for a while.

The views from the property are incredible. It is family ran and the staff are incredibly attentive and welcoming. The room was spotless with a comfortable bed and shower with hot water and great water pressure. There is an activities booklet with many excursions you can book. They will also guide you on walks and treks around the area without guides. The food was delicious and very affordable. One of the best stays in the Munduk region.

If I could I would rate Desa Hostel 1000 stars! The people working at Desa are so kind, authentic and welcoming. I enjoy spending time with Putu and Daddi, who are both so helpful and make everyone so comfortable. They are the best! Everything is extremely clean, the beds are very comfortable and the food so delicious. Eating breakfast and diner there was so enjoyable, and it was fun to talk to other travelers. Plus they have a billard. Is a bit away from Munduk, but they came to pick me up and you can then rent a scooter at the hostel or organize transport with them. We booked a day trip to the rice field and the driver was the best! So the distance from Munduk was not an issue at all for me, quite the opposite because the hostel is so calm and relaxing. Little note that there is a washer machine, water to refill your bottles and a massage place next door. Thank you guys!

This place is just magic and I can tell you already that pictures on booking do not reveal it enough. When you arrive here the first reaction is: whaou!!! Rooms are so beautiful bed is comfy and bathroom so huge. Here there is only three rooms you will feel like alone. There is nothing to do at walking distance but doesn’t matter you got everything here. The food is so good and really affordable they do not kill you with the price even if they could because nothing around. Breakfast is the best I had in Bali . I do advise to take smoothie ball or pancakes. If you want to walk there is a beautiful trek to see waterfalls that are amazing. To finish I would like to thanks all the people that work here. They made everything for us to make us happy and they manage. Thanks Komang and for sure if we come back to Bali you will see us again!
