We have had the most wonderful time in Sumbawa at Juliens place. Swell check from the balcony and great food from the restaurant. The rooms are big and cool even though they dont have AC. The big windows make it very bright. Cleaned every day and very nice staff. We ended up staying three weeks, surfing every day at Dirty Hippies and Northern Right.

Whales & Waves is truly a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Sumbawa. We loved everything- the huge yard, the outdoor community space where we met a lot of cool people, had our meals, played with their two labradors etc. The place is really kid friendly- a lot a children were playing around, skateboarding and having fun. The rooms were also good. We rented kayaks and went snorkeling to the nearby island. The food was great, we recommend trying the Mie Goreng with beef! The local surf spot is 5 minutes away by motorbike which could also be rented at the resort. We were there for just 5 days but next time we’re staying more. :)

Omg what a place! The cosiest bungalow right by the beach, like literally by the beach, so lovely and homely. On one side you have the sea view, on the other the palm grove. Check out the colours of the sea and the sky during golden hour. Great value for money and Toni takes such good care of you. Slept with the consistent swell of the waves in the background.

The most wonderful place to stay if you want a relaxing surf holiday. Beautiful view and location, just a short walk from the beach and into the village but so nice and quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view as well. Baba and his staff made sure we had a lovely stay and we’ll definitely come back here!
