As a surfer I stayed at Bebaleq as I wanted to surf Desert Point. It was a brilliant decision. The host Jhon is one of the nicest people ever and in my opinion is a huge part of why you should stay at this property. The room itself is a simple but beautiful raised room/bathroom combo situated in the middle of a field near Jhon's house, which is about a 15 min scooter ride from Desert point (the actual distance is not very far however the roads between the two locations are terrible as anyone who has been to Desert Point will know). Being slightly removed from Desert Point can be seen as a good thing (or a bad thing, depending on your opinion). Personally I found it a positive as the residence is very quiet, with no noise and I enjoyed the fact I was staying in a local village. Also you are still exceptionally close to a protected beautiful beach (it is just this beach doesn't have surf). In particular a highlight I would like to mention was Jhon going out of his way to help cart my surfboards to desert point in the early hours of the morning without expecting any payment for such a service. He truly is a brilliant host and this seemed representative of all the people I met in the village who were exceptionally friendly. Also as a note there are local cattle on the property, they are very chill/quiet but will sometimes rest underneath the house (personally I thought this was an added bonus).

The staff is incredible nice and provides excellent service with great attention to details and quickly attended our every need. Very professional! They kindly arranged transport, multiple snorkeling boat trips to nearby secret gilis with faboulous marine life, a sunset walk/easy trek to the top of the mountain with view over Bali and Lombok. We enjoyed the serenity of the pool area which were fantastic and super nice. The children loved it. We liked the the spacious villa with good air-con, where we enjoyed the sunrise from the big terrace every morning. The food from the cafe was delicious! And the service was sublime! The staff was always aware of our every need!

I need to say that hotel is amazing. Everything was great. The food options are delicious with the very responsible price and cocktails are also very tasty. The staff do everything to make your vacation very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel offers many water sports for free. To the beautiful reefs is 15 minute by walk. Beach near hotel is also amazing. Near the hotel is also another hotel with very good Italian cuisine so you can choose what you can it. In the hotel food is delicious. Breakfast is also very good. 👍

Great little resort right on the water. The 2 bedroom apartment was awesome for us. Lovely to have own sitting area. Good air con but had fans and big doors to open to let the breeze in and enjoy the view. Food was fantastic. Possible best cheese burger and bolognaise ever! The owners Nigel and Lisa and all the staff were so lovely and friendly. They organised a great snorkelling trip- turtles and a sea horse spotted

I had the pleasure of staying at Pelangi Homestay with a friend and we were blown away by the experience. The owners are incredibly welcoming and lovely, and Zuria, in particular, is an absolute delight. She is sweet, friendly, and cooks the most delicious food! We were lucky enough to go on two snorkeling trips during our stay, one of which was with Zuria's dad who is just as kind as his daughter. We also had the opportunity to explore the islands of Gili Nanggu and Kedis with Anton, a very nice man who showed us around and engaged us in interesting conversations. The homestay itself is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the islands. We cannot recommend Pelangi Homestay enough!
