We had an unforgettable stay at this homestay! Luky, our host, was absolutely wonderful, he took us on so many activities and was an excellent guide, always making sure we had the best experience. His whole family was incredibly kind and welcoming. The homestay itself was beautifully decorated with care, and they even prepared a mattress on the balcony so we could relax facing the stunning view. We were warmly welcomed with fresh coconuts upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The meals were varied and absolutely delicious every day, and everything was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. We truly had a magical time and felt at home. I can’t recommend their kindness, hospitality, and the comfort of this homestay enough!

I felt so welcome with this homestay. It's serene, the only noice you hear is that from the birds in the jungle. The food was great, fresh fish, vegetables, chicken, rice, all very tasteful. We had a really special time at the Coco Huts homestay. The family put a lot of heart and effort into making our stay a great experience. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Delicious and varied food, clean bathroom facilities (water containers were constantly replenished), great ocean view from the bungalow. The host took us on a number of trips, including a trip to Wayag, which were really well-organized, and we felt super safe on the boat as well as snorkeling with a local guide (the reefs in the area are amazing). The transfer back to Waisai was well-organized as well. If you’re looking for a quiet get-away from the more crowded areas like Piaynemo, this is definitely a good choice.

JouSuba Homestay is amazing. It is a small island with only homestays on it and so remains relatively untouched for the region. The huts are on a lovely little beach with white sand extending into the sea. They are relatively simple and built with the same indigenous local style as you find in the region. However the mattress is very very comfortable which makes for a great night's sleep. The owner Ferdinand is the local service industry expert and his family own the island and the land. They are making improvements all the time and when I went in Dec24 they had just introduced starlink for amazing internet. Ferdinand was always gracious and kind and extremely helpful when planning trips, excursions and things to do. He has visions for a bright future and is therefore one of the more business savvy owners and extremely responsive to guests needs and wishes. As soon as I booked a room he reached out via WhatsApp which felt very safe and welcoming. Other Honestays can be much more laid back and if you are on a schedule it can make you feel quite anxious. His wife was an amazing cook as she has previously worked in the restaurants of some big hotels. I was fortunate enough that his kids were on holiday and were available to explore and play around with. Such a delightful warm family. Highly recommended
