    For a small city of just 350,000, it has the chaos and...

    For a small city of just 350,000, it has the chaos and traffic levels of a much larger city. People drive crazy and fast, making the numerous one way streets into race tracks. Watch yourself when crossing streets. Parts of the city are tree lined and pleasant, with comparisons to parts of Colombo. However like Colombo, parts of the city are treeless, hot and congested, also like Manila and Jakarta. We spent a day touring the far side of the Island, which was nice.

    Great staff, really helpful. All of them! The place is getting a bit tired and needs a repaint, appears to be a massive place with parts of it not used for years. Does need new sheets and pillows, they were thin and old and lumpy. But the room (307) was big, great views with a balcony. We were quite comfortable for 4 nights. Food in the restaurant is good, fine for our Western palates. Would we stay there again? Definitely. It’s probably the highest quality place in Ambon and the customer service is five star!

    The City hotel is a great hotel. The staff are all super friendly and very helpfull and they made my stay here fantastic. The rooftop restaurant has amazing views and really good food and service. I am staying here again in 10 day and look forward to coming back :-)

    The hotel has friendly staff who are very helpful in sorting things out. The breakfast is superb with lot of variety. The bed was massive and very comfortable rest on. The room has a little desk so you can also do some work.
