The perfect combination of the newly built hotel’s location and the staff’s attitude made the experience even better. I also really appreciate that there are two different restaurants and a bar — they truly know how to cook with great quality, which is not always the case even in expensive hotels. Me and my wife have been enjoying a week with half-board at the newly renovated Stari Dvor hotel. It's a small hotel with only ~20 rooms. Everything has been clean and the rooms are minimalistically decorated (nordic-style?). They provide soap and shower gel so bring conditioner if needed.The beds were excellent and we slept well with the quiet AC cooling the room. The staff has been very friendly and helpful during our visit. We can see that they struggle a bit with only 6(?) people managing the whole facility. They seem to cope well though! The peak of our stay was the food! The young chef Tilen prepared a fantastic 3-course food experience every evening. He isn't shy of experiment with ingridients, textures and flavors in a really tasteful and fun way. I would really recommend the halv board as there are few restaurant in the vincinity of the hotel and you would'nt want to miss out on good food we've had. The only thing we missed on the breakfirst buffet was some yoghurt. It's basic but good enough for us. During our stay (no car) we took hikes to nearby towns. The island is surprisingly green even during peak heat in the summer. Plan your luches as the restaurants are few and sparse in the west/north of the hotel.
