I love the staff and the personnel. They are truly incredibly caring and love what they do. They make the stay perfect. First of all the rooms are very nicely decorated and the mattress and bedding is very comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and very peaceful. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in many months while travelling. You can see they truly are passionate about what they do. I also recommend to go to the restaurant at night because they serve the best truffle pasta I’ve had in a long time. Upon the recommendation, we went to a local olive oil producer and we were very impressed with their kindness as well. I highly recommend Ponte Porton. I also would like to thank all the staff for their exceptional service. Truly the best. You are all awesome. 🙌 Sven and Mari

San Canzian is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Croatia. We stayed in the three bedroom villa which was modern and luxurious without being characterless or out of place with its surroundings. The staff were friendly and endlessly accommodating. Our children were 1, 5 and 9 when we visited and the staff always made sure we were looked after. The restaurant was also very good and the concierge extremely helpful with suggestions for places to eat and activities we all enjoyed. We would love to go back.

A beautiful property with a view of the surrounding hills and olive groves. Just idyllic. Our room was a nice size with a very comfortable bed with really nice linens. Great shower! The elevator is a welcome amenity -- we'd been lugging our bags up stairs for 10 days and it was a nice change ! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely -- fruit, pastries, meat & cheese, local honey, eggs, good coffee. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds -- it was a little chilly to use the pool. We didn't eat dinner in their restaurant, but we ate at their casual place up the street -- delicious pizza.

Grožnjan is a jewel of a town with a charm all its own.

Grožnjan is a jewel of a town with a charm all its own. I could stay here for weeks and never tire of strolling along the cobbled streets and narrow alleyways. There are numerous cats to befriend as well. The only drawback are the crowds, which are enormous during the summer. The best time to visit is in the spring and autumn when the crowds are fewer and the galleries are still open.

Grožnjan was a charming hill-top village in a stunning location. The town is filled with artists selling their products and the village was absolutely gorgeous with stone buildings and streets. We ate at Bistro Artegnana 1798, and the food and service were great. The view towards the ocean was lovely and perfect for your next sunset. Definitely recommend a visit.

Grožnjan is one of the most beautiful villages I've ever...

Grožnjan is one of the most beautiful villages I've ever seen. Hilltop location with gorgeous view over gentle hills with the sea tempting in the distance. You can hear violins and cellos practising in the day, while you explore the many art and craft shops and talk to the people who made what's in them. The restaurants make their own food, and you will sit on lovely, atmospheric terraces. It should be so touristy but it just isn't. Even at the beginning of August, it was never packed, and visitors here are as laid back and civilised as the hosts. This place is an absolute must-visit.

A beautiful picturesque town with many hidden gems.

A beautiful picturesque town with many hidden gems. It's a must: sunset at the square with the view to the seaside or the sunrise and evening at the terrace at aModoMio restaurant, Grožnjan city wall, scrolling the town's labyrinth alleys, cycling La Parenzana route. It's easy to get around on foot. Have some nourishing local food at the Pintur place.

Groznjan is a wonderful old hilltop village dating back many hundreds of years. The apartment is only a few minute's walk from the car parks outside the pedestrianised village. The apartment is not huge but had everything needed for two people staying there. The patio is what really sets this apart though. There are views over the Istrian hills and valleys and it is a perfect spot to sit and relax. Valentina is a fabulous host who made us feel most welcome.

Everything was lovely! Reminded me of Provence, just greener. Staying here on the spur of the moment was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel restaurant is just.. Wow! You know its great when locals come to eat both breakfast and lunch/dinner. Also, hats off to the pastry chef, bravo!

Apartment is in a traditional stone country house, very well renovated, located just 15-20 mins walk from Groznjan town. Apartment is spacious, super clean, has all needed facilities. Lovely view on the village, very calm and quiet atmosphere. Host Tamara is very friendly and supportive.

Our hosts, Jasmina and Dino, were amazing. They renovated the old house in the outskirts of Grožnjan and put their souls into it. The apartment is nice and cosy, full of art and antiques. If you need some peace and quiet, this is the place to stay.
